No, it will wash out of your hair much faster because of all the sodium. Ocean water also isn't good for the treatment. I hate to say this, but women with keratin treatments who swim always use those rubber swim caps-they might be ugly, but they do protect your hair.

Hi There! I swim in both ocean and chlorine water and after applying Concern-Straight Smoothing Treatment, my hair was brassy and weak. After going to the pool or beach, my hair was hard to comb (And I never had problems to comb my hair when wet before) and when letting it naturally dry, it was really frizzy and wild so please think twice before using this product.

It shouldn't, but it will shorten the length of time it continues to be effective. It is good for up to 30 shampoos.....so a dip wouldn't be a hugely detrimental, but I would wear a swimming cap. After the process you go through, I doubt you want to compromise the results.
Hope that helps!

Depending on the condition of your hair from the swimming you've already done, considering how heavily chlorinated the pool is, how many days & for how long you swim for, your hair's texture fine, thick, etc., I WOULD NOT use this treatment on your hair, as all the swimming will cause it to lose its' effect/not hold up, dry your hair out, make it frizzy or break off.
If I were you (Just my opinion) I'd use a good clarifying shampoo 1-2x a week, such as B&B Sunday Shampoo, a good moisturizing masque (B&B Deeep, Creme de Coco, or Thirsty or Mending masque from their Wear and Care line, etc). On days you want to straighten your hair, use B&B Straight Shampoo & Conditioner, then use Blow Dry, section your hair, dry it w/large round brush and use a flattening iron on days you want super straight hair.
For Everyone: A Bumble and Bumble trained hair stylist advised me those with fine/thin textured hair, maturing hair, highlighted, color treated or any other chemically processed hair should NOT use this product, as it MOST LIKELY WILL cause your hair to break off.
If you're unsure if you should use it, I recommend going to a salon that carries B&B and get a trained stylist's recommendation as to if you should use it or not. Otherwise proceed at your own risk!

Don't believe any of this! My hair is dull, broken, and super kinky after this treatment! I wish salt water would remove it. When I contacted the company about how to get it out of my hair, they said they did not know.
