Do you use this on its own or in addition to eye cream?

I use this product in conjunction with the Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm. For me, I've always used an eye cream after I apply a gel or serum under and above the eye area. The usage of both these eye products will give you amazing results! You won't regret using both.

I have used only this gel so far and it works extremely well. However, I just ordered the Algenist Eye Balm to see how it works, also. I'll use it by itself and with the Eye Gel as an experiment.

The gel is quite light and smooth -- a little goes a long way. But I also like to use another light moisturizer over it, especially at night, as I'm in the "above 50-age range" and the skin around my eyes tends to be dry. Experiment for yourself - but don't overdo. Too much gel plus moisturizer will cause eye liner to look smudgy.

Question
Can you use this eye product on the eye lids?
I know many eye products can only be used on the orbital eye area but some new ones can now be used 360-whole eye area including the eye LID. Is this OK on the lid? (other eye balm they make OK on lid ?)

This product is not for use on the eye lid. The only product that Sephora carries that is for eye lid use is Dr. Perricone's Acyl-glutathione eye lid serum. Give this a shot as it will transform your eyes!!!! It took 4- 5 years off my eyes in a matter of 3 weeks. You can also use this serum on the whole orbital area! It is amazing:)

I definitely use this product on my upper eyelids and around the entire eye area. I see the greatest benefit in the tightening of my otherwise puffy upper eyelids.

Question
gel vs balm
I received a sample of the complete renewal eye balm and love it. How would you compare the gel and the balm when it comes to moisture, anti-aging, and bags/puffiness?

I purchased both the serum and the balm, I feel like the serum gives you the line fighting you need but lacks moisturizing abilities so I always couple a serum with a creme or balm. Double whamy for the eye area!!

I, personally, didn't notice anything great at all about the Complete Eye Renewal Balm and I ended up returning it. But I absolutely LOVE the Firming and Lifting Eye Gel. Love it!

Question
How long does this bottle last?
I bought this gel in their "Retinal Firming & Lifting Trio" and the bottle indicated it was 15ml. It lasted me maybe 6 weeks (most of the time just once a day), I was using one pump per eye, was that too much? or is this the expected life span of the bottle?

A bottle usually last me three months. I don't believe that I press down completely on the "dropper." I probably press down half way. I have very dry skin so I use an eye cream on top. It is a serum.

I find 1 full pump to be plenty for both eyes. The little bottle that comes in the kits lasts me over a month. I use the tap, hold method to apply and LOVE the results. BTW, the retinol serum you bought is gentle enough to use under the eye.

Question
Will I be able to use Algenist Firming and Lifting Eye Gel on my sensitive skin?
I posed this question last week and got no reply. I am interested in this product for my eyes. I am also interested in the Algenist firming face cream. I have sensitive skin and am wondering whether I could get a small sample of each of these products to try them out. If they work for me and do not irritate (or burn) my skin, I fully intend to purchase these products. Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. My droopy eyelid and jawline really need a lift! Please help me out. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

I like the results I see, in a week, with use on my under eye & outer corner lids. You will not receive a sample requesting it here. You have to walk in to the store.

Question
Is SPF needed with this product?
With the Algenist Firming & Lifting Serum for the face, one is supposed to use it only at night, and due to the retinol in it, one is supposed to use SPF over the face during the day because it makes the skin sensitive to the sun. Is this product supposed to be treated in the same way? It says it is to be used in both the AM and the PM. If SPF is needed with the eye gel, what would you recommend as an SPF day treatment for the eye area?

Shiseido makes an eye cream with SPF 32 that would do the trick!!! It is the only SPF eye cream that we carry at our Sephora:) I have used it on vacation and it works marvelous:)

You should wear an SPF every day no matter what products you use. That is the best anti-aging product available. If you don't require a heavy moisturizer, I recommend the Algenist SPF lotion.

According to Algenist (I called them), this serum is gentle enough to use twice a day. I have not come across a sunscreen for the eye area (doesn't mean they don't exist), probably because sunscreens generally require ingredients too strong for the eye area. You should always wear quality sunglasses when outside.

Question
sensitivity to products
I have sensitive skin and I am considering ordering Algenist Firming and Lifting Cream and also Algenist firming and lifting eye gel. Is there any way to get a sample of these products to see if I will be able to use them? I have had numerous bad experiences in the past where I have purchased expensive products which irritate my skin and become unusable for me. I am looking for good products which will work without irritating my skin. Thanks so much! Your products sound very promising!

Why don't you just go to Sephora and ask them to give you a sample. I'm sure they will because I did.

Go to your local Sephora store and ask for a sample of what you want to try. Right now I seem to be getting a number of Algenist samples in the mail from a variety of sources because they are making a big marketing push. But don't wait go and get a sample from Sephora, they're free.

What size is the Algenist eye gel? Face serum?
Saw the serum on Dr. Oz, have to try them! I use TNS with my Obagi presently. I hope I won't be disappointed.

The bottle is .5 fl. ounces (15 ml.), small -- but you only need a tiny amount for your eyes. It should last for a few months at least! I found that the gel is quite light and goes a long way.
