Green light?
Just got one but does anyone knows how long dose it make the red light turns green? I was waiting for 10 mims.... But the light is still red.

I've had two of the curlers and neither turned green, but it did get hot. Apparently, this is a defect because many customers have complained about the light not turning green for them, either.

It's not the light on the front but on the back of the device, there are two small black circles that will turn green.

The red light isn't supposed to turn green. Turn the wand over and the 2 circle indicators on top will turn green when the wand is ready (about 1-2 min).

I will be honest with you. I purchased one and it basically fell apart on me within the first day. I returned it. I was given a new one and there are a few defects that make this curler a complete waste of money. When it DOES work properly (which was 15% of the time) it has amazing results. Read the reviews on here and decide what's best for you.

Yes! you just make sure you turn it as you are going up. At first i was doing more of a brushing motion and it wasnt doing much.

Hey doll, I have super long, straight lashes- almost like venus fly traps bc the corners always get stuck together. I have used the pincher, only to have flat lashes by the afternoon. This curl lasted thru a cheer competition and then backyard grilling. A really looooong day. Just be sure to change out the stock battery- it is nowhere near good enough for the product. it is re-usable. Just clean it off with the brush provided if you curl your lashes with mascara on. No need to clean it if you use it on bare lashes.

I've never used a heated curler and don't understand how they work. It seems that if you just brush the lashes you would get no result so how do you achieve curling?

I like to hold the curler at the base of my lashes for a few seconds then slowly sweep it upwards til I reach the tip of the lashes. I do this a couple times. I'd recommend holding it at the base of the lashes for as long as you feel comfortable because this is where it will hold the most curl.

The heat and the very slight pressure is what curls the lashes. Since uncurled lashes stick straight out or down the combination of heat and pushing them up allows them to become curved. The curve is also a lot more natural since there are harsh lines like you could get from manual curlers. Quick tip, use after applying mascara for the best hold.

It works best if you hold it against your lash line for a few seconds before brushing it through your lashes. It takes patience and time, it's best to do this when you're not in a rush. Hope this helps!

You kind of "fold" your lashes upward. It's not hot, it's not uncomfortable, and best of all, it doesn't tug on your lashes. I like it, even if it does take just a little longer than heating up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer...

Hold the curler at the roots of your lashes for a few seconds.. Then you slowly brush it upwards and repeat until you get the desired effect. It works best after mascara because the mascara holds the shape of the curl as it slightly melts from the heat.

Hold the comb like part at the base of the lashes for about...8-10 seconds and slowly drag along lashes. You basically want to press the lashes up towards your eyebrows. Like when you flat iron hair, just a little slower since it's not as hot.

I just purchased the Diorshow Heat Curl, and no matter how hard I try, I just can't get it open to insert the battery.
Using my right hand, I grasp the area between the switch and the wand (it's a a different texture there), and then with my left hand I grasp the shiny part (the base). Then I gently pull - then I tug - and I don't want to break it but I can't get it apart! It's making me crazy!

I find that if I put my thumb on the switch and pull the metal casing in the opposite direction the metal casing will slide off. it is a snug fit. As long as you're not holding the actual wand part while you're pulling you shouldn't break it.

I experienced the same thing. The inclination is to twist it - but take the top off and find the ridges on the barrel and push up with your thumb to release.

I had the same problem. You have to pull really hard, and kind of twist it at the same time. It's on there very tight!! Or better yet, save yourself the trouble and get a refund, that curl wand is defective...I've returned two because they fell apart or didnt work properly.

Hey, just grab it by the end (the part that gets hot) and pull hard it will bring the top half off then you will see where the batteries go. I had trouble with this also!

do both indicators turn green?
HI, i have read that the indicators on the back of the curler turn green, but only the bottom indicator turns green on mine even if i have it on for 20 min!!!!! is the top indicator supposed to turn green as well, or is the bottom one only supposed to turn green and the top used as a comparison?

There are two settings on this heated curler. If you move the switch up 2 notches, both indicators will turn green within a minute. If you only moved the switch up 1 notch, only 1 indicator, which is the bottom will turn green.

Make sure you are turning it up on high first.. IF you are, mine only takes about 4-5 minutes for the top indicator to turn green. But if you have used it for awhile now..the battery might need to be replaced. If all else fails, you might want to exchange it. I always turn mine on while I'm doing my makeup so its finished by the time I need it.

Hey doll- switch out that stock battery that it came with. Its not powerful enough for this. My bottom green indicator was the only one showing up until i changed that battery in in about a minute and a half i had both green! hope this helps =)

It doesn't get hot enough to burn your lashes...I have used one for years, although this Dior one is new and I needed a new one. My last one lasted about 5 yrs!

It's just like normal hair, it's suggested use is the with Dior Lash Maximizer which will coat the lashes with good protective stuff. (that's the technical term, lol) But with all heated products, you can damage your lashes if left on for WAY too long, but that would be hard to do in my opinion.

I have not bought this product yet, but love heated eyelash curlers. These units would never get hot enough to ever do damage to your lashes. I think in the long run they wil help your lashes maintain a more curled defined look. I love to use them.

The metal casing separates from the wand where the switch is. I find that if I have my thumb on the switch and pull the metal casing with the other hand, it slides off. It is a snug fit. As long as you're not holding on to the actual wand when you pull you should be okay.

You just have to continue pushing the slide button up and it should slide apart. The part that you turn the curler on and off.

I just grab the base of the heated part with the different texture and the very end and gently tug it apart. I know the first time i used it i had to wiggle it a little bit and use a little more force. Good luck!

With thumb and index finger on your right hand, grasp the matte finish portion on the tube between the on/off button and the wand. Do not pull the wand. Grasp the shiny black portion of the tube near the center and just pull apart. Do not hold by the buttons or the wand. It should come apart easily.
