no it doesnt come with a step by step guide, these colours would be very flattering on your complexion . the rich plum like shades as well as the shimmery nude ones would def compliment your brown eyes..my gf has similaar colouring as you and she also owns this...and it's amazing on her. the best part is that with this palette you can mix and match the shades and they all compliment one another, so the step by step is not needed... the BEST.

I think it would work for you. The colors are a bit darker than they appear in the picture, I didn't expect that - but it's such a great value I don't think you can go wrong with purchasing it. Although it doesn't come with a step by step guide, you could probably find a tutorial via Google or YouTube!

I think this would work great with your skin tone. It didn't with mine. I am medium/tanned. When I applied the colors, they looked more mauve, than brown. I think they would be much more flattering on someone like you, who is fair skinned with cool tones. Beautiful, actually.

There isn't a step to step guide, but these colors are more cool tone brown/pinks, so this would go perfectly with your fair skin and hair color.

You just described me perfectly (except for a slight difference in age) and I love this palette. It does not come with instructions, but I think it's better to use the shades as you see fit. As a recommendation, I would say the first two shades (upper and lower) would be good highlighters, the next four are great as bases, the next two use for contouring, and the last two use with a wet brush as eyeliners.

Yes! These shades are almost universally flattering. They don't come with a step by step guide, but you could do a smokey eye with several combinations depending on your skin tone. They blend together very well so gradient effects are easy to achieve :)

i find urban decay's amzing but the sparkles are abit much for me, the lorac is very very pigmented and rich, the ud naked palettes are nice for the weekends, but i like lorac's for day time and work, the colours are pigmented but you can control the amount you put on for day at work.
this is the only palette i use and love daily, and i own both naked palettes by ud.

Lorac is better. I have the Naked 1 and Naked 2 is just chalky in my opinion. I've heard a lot of people have returned their Naked 2 because they just don't need it, but it would be extremely hard for me to give up the Unzipped! It works with all skin tones and eye colors. Sure, it doesn't have a brush, but most of us already have those anyway.

I don't own UD's Naked palette, but I do own a lot of UD products so I can speak to the quality and color comparison. Several of the shades in this palette are a close match to UD shades. I would argue that the Lorac shades are actually higher quality - they are highly pigmented, fine-grained and have this pearly (but not translucent) shimmer to all of the shades aside from the 4 matte colors on the right. They do not contain glitter chunks like some comparable UD shades, which makes me happy becuase the glitter chunks tend to fall to my cheeks and look odd. Obviously the Naked palette has *more* different shades, but honestly I think this smaller palette gives you plenty of options and possible combinations as far as creating a smokey eye or a day look. They blend together very well too, and all of the shades are in the same color family.

Question
How does quality compare to Urban Decay or Tarte?
I love this from the website, but I have an Urban Decay pallete and brought True Blood for Tarte right before this came out (darn!). So I'm wondering how is the quality of this compared to UD or Tarte, as in:
- how's the lasting/staying power and fallout of this shadow (without the primer)?
- how finely milled are the shimmery shadows? I can see the glitter in my Tarte shimmery shadows, but not in my UD shadows.

Thanks!

In quality, pigmentation, and texture, I'd say this matches Urban Decay palettes. I haven't heard good things about Tarte's shadows, so I'll leave that to someone else, but I really do love this palette. I have both Naked palettes, but I love this one so much more. I'd say the biggest deciding factor is whether or not you want warm, pink- and plum-toned colors, because the quality and lasting power is definitely there.

FYI: There are definite chunky glitters in UD shades like Sidecar and Chopper. I don't notice any in this palette, though. The shimmers in Unzipped are just that--shimmer.

This palette is gorgeous! I have the Naked 1 & 2 kits and this took the place of #1 and is so much better than #2. The color payoff is excellent, just like the UD shadows but I have never tried the Tarte brand (sorry). I noticed some fallout the first time I used the gold color, undiscovered, but the color is so pretty on I can live with it. Great matte colors too!

I was slightly disappointed with this compared to my Urban Decay palettes. The colors in this palette are less vibrant and have a mauvy undertone as opposed to the tan or taupe undertones of an Urban Decay set. The one area this palette wins is the shimmery shadows don't have chunks of glitter that fall on your cheeks.

Well, I have a lot of tarte make-up, which is great. I bought my first UD pallete, Naked 2, just before I got this. I bought this one on a whim and b/c of the reviews. I can, without a doubt, say this is my FAVE of ALL of the paletes I own! The colors are all gorgeous, highly pigmented, as well as silky-buttery soft. You can gently glide your finger across these and apply to the entire lid! The shimmer shades are a pearly shimmer. Awesome, but not over the top!

answer 8
Okay- a lot of UD shadows are notorious for being CRAZY with glitter fallout. I'm still a fan, but you have to tap your brush several times to prevent your entire face being covered with glitter. The shadows are very finely milled. There's no fallout because they're metallic, not glittery, with the exception of Untamed. These shadows are much more pink/red toned than they seem online or in a lot of pictures on the web. If you love the naked by urban decay, you'll love this. However, I don't think that undiscovered is too nice of shade. It's a yellow gold, a very true gold, but just not for me. The shadows are very long lasting and are pigmented. I'm a neutral junkie so it's pretty much all I wear yet I am still picky. I definitely recommend this palette.

These shades are higher quality than Urban Decay products, and I say that as a UD fan. The grains are very very fine and also have a shimmer that doesn't make them translucent (aside from the 4 shades on the right side, which are matte). They don't have actual glitter in them like many UD shades. I'm very pleased with the staying power of these shadows too. Sometimes I forget to put eyeshadow primer on first, and I did it with these. It didn't make any difference, my eyeshadow didn't smudge or fade at all over the course of six hours :)

The Pro Palette has more light shadows than the one in this palette. Even though the shadows are smaller, there are more of them than this palette, so depending on which ones you use, they could last just as long. I'm extremely happy with this palette, and my mom is a huge fan of the other. Either one will do well - so I say it's down to whether you're ok with a single light shadow, or you want more variety of light shades.

I think it depends on your needs. If you like a more natural look on a regular basis, I would go for Unzipped. The shadows are fewer, but also larger, and very natural looking. If you like experimentation with pigment, go for the Pro palette. I own Unzipped, and I am absolutely in love with it. I haven't touched another shadow in the two weeks that I have owned it. Natural as the shades are, they are very versatile.

I have both, and they each have their benefits. I feel like pro is a good diverse palette but that is a bit all over the place. From very white, to a rich black, its a nice "little bit of everything". The unzipped palette is more like a complete package to me. The colors go with each other in a variety of combos, they are richer and more appealing. No theatrical white, instead a natural cream, soft blending champagne over some of the harsh pro palette alternatives. I use unzipped for my fresh face looks on lighter skin tones all the time. A hint of youthful shimmer without looking cakey. I love it.

I love the Pro palette too; the matte shades are beautiful, and with so many different looks that you can create, the pot sizes are not that small. All the Pro palette colors are definitely wearable; this palette certainly changed my opinion of matte shades. Hope this helps!

Now I think that depends on whether you like the glittery or matte colors you personally prefer. Personally, I own both because there are colors in one that doesn't in the other. I think both are good investments (travel friendly, great colors for us brunettes). Though, as for myself, I find the Unzipped palette more work, casual friendly more than the Naked palette (NP) . Because NP contains a lot more shimmery colors & provides more build-able colors if you like to play around with layering natural colors but also can get the causal to night-out look. Shimmer colors are great to blend with fingers if you're in a hurry, especially when you want to get that smokey look. The Unzipped palette may have less colors but I had a lot of fun layering during the day & adding the color stronger by night. Gives a very sultry smokey effect.

That really depends what use you feel like you would get out from it (:

I have the exact same skin tone and eye color as you, but my hair is very, very black. I was in the same situation as you are, and went along with the Unzipped palette because I feel as if I can use all the colors to create a natural look, but that's it. Also, one thing about the Unzipped palette is that they are NOT true browns and golds. All of the shades either have a rose or plum undertone to it. Which I feel is more apparent on darker skin tone like yours and mine.

The Naked palette are true golds and browns (except for Creep and Gunmetal), and I've been told that the Half Baked eyeshadow has so many patents put on it by UD so no other brands can ever fully dupe that color. They also have Gunmetal and Creep, which can be used to help deepen a look, or used wet and applied as eyeliner. They can also be used together to create a vampy smokey eye. Something you cannot do with the Unzipped palette.

Honestly though, what I did was have one of the mua at Sephora do the exact same look on both eyes, but one palette used on one eye and vice versa. Unzipped won in the end. :)

I would get the unzipped palette...we seem to have similar coloring and I found the Naked Palette to be mostly cool-toned whereas the Unzipped palette suited me better
