Question
How does quality compare to Urban Decay or Tarte?
I love this from the website, but I have an Urban Decay pallete and brought True Blood for Tarte right before this came out (darn!). So I'm wondering how is the quality of this compared to UD or Tarte, as in:
- how's the lasting/staying power and fallout of this shadow (without the primer)?
- how finely milled are the shimmery shadows? I can see the glitter in my Tarte shimmery shadows, but not in my UD shadows.
Thanks!

i have both urban decay nude palettes as well as tarte...i can tell you this one is much more pigmented and no glitter, ...thank god. and it''s more "grown up" than the urban decay's. This is a classy elegant additin to my arsenal of eyeshadow palettes...and i own many ihavent used..but i use this all the tim...def worth the $ and with sephora's amazing return policy, u can buy it try it and if u dont like it return it! but im positive you will adore this ....

In quality, pigmentation, and texture, I'd say this matches Urban Decay palettes. I haven't heard good things about Tarte's shadows, so I'll leave that to someone else, but I really do love this palette. I have both Naked palettes, but I love this one so much more. I'd say the biggest deciding factor is whether or not you want warm, pink- and plum-toned colors, because the quality and lasting power is definitely there.
FYI: There are definite chunky glitters in UD shades like Sidecar and Chopper. I don't notice any in this palette, though. The shimmers in Unzipped are just that--shimmer.

This palette is gorgeous! I have the Naked 1 & 2 kits and this took the place of #1 and is so much better than #2. The color payoff is excellent, just like the UD shadows but I have never tried the Tarte brand (sorry). I noticed some fallout the first time I used the gold color, undiscovered, but the color is so pretty on I can live with it. Great matte colors too!

Having considered the Nakeds...I am happy with Unzipped. I am 56 and shy away from glitter, which I think both Tarte and Unban Decay are kind of known for. This is great for a classy look that compliments my eyes and still gets some attention. In a good way.

I was slightly disappointed with this compared to my Urban Decay palettes. The colors in this palette are less vibrant and have a mauvy undertone as opposed to the tan or taupe undertones of an Urban Decay set. The one area this palette wins is the shimmery shadows don't have chunks of glitter that fall on your cheeks.

Well, I have a lot of tarte make-up, which is great. I bought my first UD pallete, Naked 2, just before I got this. I bought this one on a whim and b/c of the reviews. I can, without a doubt, say this is my FAVE of ALL of the paletes I own! The colors are all gorgeous, highly pigmented, as well as silky-buttery soft. You can gently glide your finger across these and apply to the entire lid! The shimmer shades are a pearly shimmer. Awesome, but not over the top!

It compares to UD in the fact that the shadows are buttery and pigmented and the shimmers are simmilar to UD. I found Tarte to be less pigmented.

Okay- a lot of UD shadows are notorious for being CRAZY with glitter fallout. I'm still a fan, but you have to tap your brush several times to prevent your entire face being covered with glitter. The shadows are very finely milled. There's no fallout because they're metallic, not glittery, with the exception of Untamed. These shadows are much more pink/red toned than they seem online or in a lot of pictures on the web. If you love the naked by urban decay, you'll love this. However, I don't think that undiscovered is too nice of shade. It's a yellow gold, a very true gold, but just not for me. The shadows are very long lasting and are pigmented. I'm a neutral junkie so it's pretty much all I wear yet I am still picky. I definitely recommend this palette.

These shades are higher quality than Urban Decay products, and I say that as a UD fan. The grains are very very fine and also have a shimmer that doesn't make them translucent (aside from the 4 shades on the right side, which are matte). They don't have actual glitter in them like many UD shades. I'm very pleased with the staying power of these shadows too. Sometimes I forget to put eyeshadow primer on first, and I did it with these. It didn't make any difference, my eyeshadow didn't smudge or fade at all over the course of six hours :)

i didnt notice any fallout with this palette, as for staying power i wouldnt know since i got this today, this was way more easier to blend than the urban decay, and the texture was very smooth, but i still love my urban decay.
