I would say, depending on the nature of your lips, to not use it everyday; you could inflame your lips this way. At MOST, you could use it every other day. But, I think 2-3 times a week would be good enough :)

You can use it everyday if you would like. If you wear lipsticks and such everyday then do it at night!

You are only supposed to use it once a week, or it'll dry out your lips if used more often than once a week.

I use this about once a week before bed. People could easily use it twice a week if their lips have a lot of excess skin on them or they use lipsticks all the time.

I use it a lot. I just put a little on my finger and gently rub over my lips till its worked in. Then I can apply some lip balm or lipstick. I work outside and this time of year my lips are peeling and flaky and this is gentle enough to use frequently and it does smooth my lips.

I use it 2x/week...the company states you should not use it more than 3x/week. Works twice a week just fine, for me.

I use it every night at the end of my shower. I just rub it on my lips to exfoliate, gently wipe off any extra granules and leave the excess on for moisture before applying my lip balm on top before bed.

Question
Is this a scrub or lipbalm?
Do you use this to exfoliate your lips and then wash it off? If you apply like a lipbalm and leave it on, then how does it exfoliate? Thanks!!!

Rub on to exfoliate. Wipe off. Use a balm or gloss etc. It can get messy. Don't wash it off, tissue it off. The residue on your lips (assuming its not all over your mug!) can assist for the rest of the day moisturizing and smelling great!

I put it on my lips, rub it in with a wascloth, then wipe it off completely. It's not the best lip scrub, but it's a nice balm.

my understanding of the product is that the ingredients themselves help exfoliate. the timed release beads don't dissolve if you use too much so i use the smallest amount possible and it dissolves into my lips. this makes it more of a balm than a scrub. i use it at night and 'scrub' it off in the am with a clean dry toothbrush or my clairisonic.

I just leave it on at night because the little beads kind of stay there. It works like a scrub and lip balm all in one.

It has granules AND moisture beads, so what I do is:
1. Rub it in a circular motion on dry lips and lip line for 1 minute
2. Gently wipe away any stray granules
3. Let moisturizer sink in for a moment
4. Apply lipstick

This product works very well for me.

This is only an scrub and is meant to be wiped off. This is not recommended to be used as a balm that stays on your lips.

Hope this helps...

Its a lip scrub, you rub it all over your lips, and then wash it off. I'd reccomend using a lip balm after words to seal in softness. :)

IT isn't a lip balm. What you do is scoop out a little with your finger and rub it onto your lips. You let it sit there for a second so your lips absorb all of the vitamins (what it says on the packaging anyway), and then wipe it off with a tissue. It has little beads in it that do the exfoliating.

This is definitely a scrub. It adds a little moisture, but that is probably because it gets the dry, dead skin off the surface of lips. I got a deluxe sample of this and could not find any directions for use in the package, but I applied it like lip balm and massaged it into my lips very lightly for 1-2 minutes. Then I just used my finger to wipe the beads off- it was that easy. I would put lip balm on dry lips after using this or a little lip gloss.

Take a little bit on your finger and apply to your clean and dry lips. Rub on like you would chapstick with your fingers but continue past a swipe or two. Try to gently scrub all parts of your lip (including edges) and gently rinse. You will feel a residual conditioning layer once you have removed all of the scrubby bits. I usually do this before bed once a week and wake with refreshed and soft lips :D.

I use it at night! Just rub it on and rub it in a little. Than you can get some tissue and glently pass it through your lips to remove the beads. It sounds funny but try it and you know what I am talking about. You can also do it again when you when you wake up in the morning if you want. If you don't like it I suggest using Bite's Butter (less mess)

Just dip your finger in it the jar - you don't need a lot - and gently work/rub into your lips. Then when absorbed apply your lip balm/gloss/stick.

I was unsure how to use as well. So I applied it to my lips, rubbed it all over and let it sit for a few minutes, then wiped it away with tissue. Then applied balm. I liked the results. I don't think there is any wrong way of exfoliating.

Before doing anything else, 'cause it can get messy! Dip in and get a half pea sz or less-but be sure to get some beads. Rub it on for a few (min and a half?). Then wipe off w a tissue. Follow w balm, gloss, or color.

through trial and error i have found that to just pat my finger on top of the product is the best way to get the smallest amount. otherwise the timed release beads sit on my lips and make me want to eat them as well as looking odd. if you use a very very small amount the beads dissolve into your lips. i put it on at night sometimes a few times and 'scrub' it off in the am with a clean dry toothbrush or my clairisonic.

Use your finger to apply it onto the lips, scrub it around for about 20 seconds and then use a washcloth over the lips to further exfoliate/wipe off the scrub. It's very fast and easy to use! Hope that helps!

applicator?
The description of this product mentions a Doe Foot applicator. Mine did not come with any sort of applicator. Should there be one? Most people seem to be saying they're applying it with their fingers. hmmmmm.

There is no applicator, and I don't see any sort of description for an applicator.

Using your fingers or a q-tip is fine if the finger is clean. Don't be afraid!

Keep calm and beauty on.

No, Bite Beauty does not test on animals and also research the ingredients used to ensure no animal testing was performed by suppliers.

They do use beeswax and lanolin in some products, so they are not vegan.

They are. Bite beauty is 100% food grade, so whatever they make...you can literally eat it.

I will suggest the sugar lip polish treatment though. It has better "scrubbers" in my opinion, and does a lot more exfoliating compared to this product.
