Yes - recommend taking out your contacts prior to cleansing though, since I'm not sure if it's lens-friendly or not.

Question
Drying? Treats pimples?
Hi! I have combo skin with a really oily T-Zone but dry cheeks. I didn't like the normal Purity cleanser as it made me break out and caused weird bumps. Also, I never felt really "clean" afterwards. BUT I hate if a cleanser gives you that "sandpaper" feeling. I just want the squeaky clean feeling without tight/dryness. Additionally I wanted to know if this prevents/removes some pimples? Thanks

I helped me with my acne. I was getting breakouts weekly and red pumps under the skin. I still from time to time get 1 or 2 pimples, but they're small and easy to cover up. However, I have not seen as much improvement on blackheads.

Personally this has cleared up my skin immensely! It does dry it out a little bit, but after using Hope in a Jar cream after I wash my skin is glowing.

Only drying if you wash/rinse with hot water. Best to throw on a lightweight oil-free moisturizer afterwards, and treat your acne with separate products. I like Burt's Bees roll-on for acne. It smells funny, but works like a charm!

I've had great luck with this controlling pimples. My hormonal acne is not gone completely, but it seems to not be as bad. I have tried many acne products in all price ranges, and despite this not being "for acne," my dry t-zone is not as dry, and my acne not as bad.

I have mild acne and this as actually helped my skin. Im not breaking out as much as I was before this. It gets all the dirt and make up off. If any of your friends use it maybe see if you can try it out first.

I have combo/acne-prone skin and this product broke out my forehead and clogged the pores on my nose and cheeks in just a few days, I would look for an oil-free wash if I were you, I've heard good things about clinique's wash away gel cleanser (blue tube). Hope this helped!

Not sure about it preventing pimples, but I would say my skin sounds similar to you, oily in the t-zone, dry in the cheeks--especially in the winter months. I felt like my skin was clean, but not stripped and dried out.

Yes, this one produces a lather, whereas the other Purity cleanser does not. My go-to employee at Sephora recommended this one to me first, since most people prefer to see that lather. Since most products lather, we associate that with clean. From what I've been told, that's the only difference - the other one works just as well!

I feel like the main difference is in how it lathers. It produces more foam while the original just sort of slipped around on my face without foam or bubbles. I, personally, feel like the foaming helps me get that clean feeling.

It feels the same as the original except this one is foamy. It's a thick clear gel without any scent. It leaves your skin a little more drier than the original. I think it'd be perfect for people with oily skin. If you have dry skin, you might not like the dry feeling.

This Purity has a gel base which makes it super amazing a stripping off the days makeup. The original is a cream base. If you are just looking for a light cleanser that cleans, I would go with the original. If you are looking for one that can get every bit of makeup off your face and still be gentle I would go with this new one.

I'm not sure how long a tube last, but I bought mine 3 months ago and I'm confident it will last me probably close to 6 months-year if not longer. I use a small pea size amount and thats enough. I have barely made a dent in the amount of product in the tube. Definitely worth the price.

The tube is really large. I only use a dime size because it lathers so much. At first I used too much. now I can see this tube would last months.

After 3 months of using it once or twice a day i still have a third of the tube left. So it lasts a LONG time.

I have very sensitive skin and found this to be too drying. Not sure if this is because my skin is on the dry side of normal. If your sensitive skin is more oily it might work better for you than it did for me.
