I feel like the main difference is in how it lathers. It produces more foam while the original just sort of slipped around on my face without foam or bubbles. I, personally, feel like the foaming helps me get that clean feeling.

This one will remove all makeup. I find purity is a nice face wash but it didn't remove my makeup very well.

I had to use less of the product compared to the original purity made simple. This is worth the extra dollars

I'm not sure of all the differences, but one is that you can use this on your eyes, while you cannot with the original PMS.

It feels the same as the original except this one is foamy. It's a thick clear gel without any scent. It leaves your skin a little more drier than the original. I think it'd be perfect for people with oily skin. If you have dry skin, you might not like the dry feeling.

This Purity has a gel base which makes it super amazing a stripping off the days makeup. The original is a cream base. If you are just looking for a light cleanser that cleans, I would go with the original. If you are looking for one that can get every bit of makeup off your face and still be gentle I would go with this new one.

Drying? Treats pimples?
Hi! I have combo skin with a really oily T-Zone but dry cheeks. I didn't like the normal Purity cleanser as it made me break out and caused weird bumps. Also, I never felt really "clean" afterwards. BUT I hate if a cleanser gives you that "sandpaper" feeling. I just want the squeaky clean feeling without tight/dryness. Additionally I wanted to know if this prevents/removes some pimples? Thanks

I have sensitive oily/normal skin, and it works great for me! Yo filmy feeling left post washing. Just a clean feeling.

I love this way better then the regular purity it's more like a soap less like a lotion my skin feels clean but not super dry.

I've had great luck with this controlling pimples. My hormonal acne is not gone completely, but it seems to not be as bad. I have tried many acne products in all price ranges, and despite this not being "for acne," my dry t-zone is not as dry, and my acne not as bad.

I have mild acne and this as actually helped my skin. Im not breaking out as much as I was before this. It gets all the dirt and make up off. If any of your friends use it maybe see if you can try it out first.

I have combo/acne-prone skin and this product broke out my forehead and clogged the pores on my nose and cheeks in just a few days, I would look for an oil-free wash if I were you, I've heard good things about clinique's wash away gel cleanser (blue tube). Hope this helped!

Not sure about it preventing pimples, but I would say my skin sounds similar to you, oily in the t-zone, dry in the cheeks--especially in the winter months. I felt like my skin was clean, but not stripped and dried out.

It takes a bit longer but in the end it always gets it off for me. I do have to use a wash cloth when it comes the waterproof to help it.

It removed my olay sunscreen very well (zinc oxide based) as well as my foundation. I don't feel that this deeps cleans pores very well, unless you have normal/dry skin.
