Ive always followed the advice given by an aesthetician, go from the lightest (gel, for me), to the heaviest (SPF, for me). And yep, I think it may, with a heavier cream (read zinc based), defeat the ruby glow, at least temporarily. It seems that some blocks "ease up" after awhile, though they're not as highly rated for sun protection. That's why all the high end creams are 15, they're prettier. In the long run 30-45, especially with all the acids we wear now, is a necessity though. I wish technology would catch up and make this easier!
