You should use this product after cleansing your skin but let it sink in before using a moisturizing lotion, or it can be used as your only moisturizer.

Over age 54 with combination skin and getting enough moisture using just this serum alone. Spot use of wrinkle reduction lotion on just deep wrinkles is only other product being used in anti-aging routine.

The serum is to be applied on clean skin - after you wash - before your moisturizer. It is light, and leaves your skin feeling great. I have very sensitive skin and this product hasn't irritated it at all.

You use it after cleansing. Once your skin absorbs it, you apply your regular moisturizer. I usually put this on, put my body lotion on, then use my moisturizer.

The consultant at the Sephora said that it should be applied directly to the skin, let it soak in for a few minutes, then apply your normal moisturizer and sunscreen, and then your foundation.

I use this serum first, and then follow with an SPF moisturizer. However, I don't think you necessarily need a moisturizer after (I only apply one for the SPF protection).

This is a moisturizer, so you could use an acne treatment or anti wrinkle treatment under it, primer over it and then foundation. It could also be applied later in the day over makeup.

I have combo skin so don't need much during the day. I use it alone under makeup and I'm fine.

I use this in the morning following my previous nights routine of PTR Glycolic acid face wash and PTR 10% Glycolic Acid Serum. It is the perfect combination for my skin. I feel like Somerville Quench holds on it's own and I don't need to follow it with anything.

Unless you are using an anti wrinkle treatment that has a moisturizer built in, I think this will be perfect for any age woman.

This is a great hydrating anti-aging serum that keeps the skin moist and hydrated and is great for all skin types and is effective for all ages. Since it is oil free you may need the regular serum if you have extremely dry skin.

Quench adds a boost of hydration and gives your skin a more supple dewy look. I feel it is perfect for anybody that wants a little more hydration or anti-aging benefits. The oil free formula is best for oily/combo. If your skin is dryer I would suggest the original formula.

Question
Difference between two Quench serums?
Beside the obvious that the new Quench serum is water-based, how are the two serums different from one another? Do they absorb differently? How does the water-based serum "feel" on the skin versus the "feel" of the original serum? Please share your experiences with me if you've used both Quench products. Thanks in advance for your input!

The difference is between whether you have dry skin or combo skin. With the oil-free I feel like this one is not wrecking havoc and just " sitting" on my face . Even though I had no problems with the original , this one definitely absorbs quicker and leaves no residue. And my combo skin looks well balanced !

The oil-free version is definitely more of a cream and absorbs much faster. The oil version is a clear, slippery, liquid. I went through the oil-free a lot slower than the oil version. The oil version absorbs a little slower but I think it makes my skin much glowy-er and better with makeup than the oil-free version. I prefer the oil version even though I've always been an oil-free everything kind of person.

I get red marks from old pimples from time to time that fade with time. Been using this product for about 2 years now and honestly never noticed it helping with acne scaring. This is great product for moisturizing sensitive acne prone skin, but to heal acne scars faster would recommend using Mederma scar gel on just those red areas before using this serum for moisturizing.

Yes! I apply this everywhere! Honestly I do not use eye creams because a good anti aging serum that's good for your face should be good for eyes. Eye creams seem like such a gimmick to me because they are the same ingredients for anti aging anyway. This product is great, it doesn't make my skin sting at all. I love the hydration without feeling greasy.
