Question
Does this work well with acne prone skin?
I'm 24 and have moderate acne - but over the past 6 month my skin broke worse than what I'm used to, but just in my cheeks. I do have blackheads in my nose and chin; and I'd say I have combination skin. I don't have acne anywhere else on my body. I've never had problems with my skin before. I haven't changed my diet, I do exercise, I've been using the same makeup for a couple years now (but since I've broken out, I've limited how much I put on my skin so I don't make it worse). I've tried so many skin care regiments and am willing to pay more to get a good product. I have thought about getting chemical peels but am unsure how harsh they are. I wouldn't say I have super sensitive skin. I am currently using a cream at night called Stieva-A (active ingredient is Tretinoin). Do you think these pads might make a difference?

on The Microdelivery Triple-Acid Brightening Peel

yes it should help with acne. a lot of blemishes are caused by dead skin cells trapping dirt and oil, and by using this peel it should exfoliate the dead skin off reducing breakouts. i have a few rough spots on my face, especially my cheeks, and i found this product really helped reduce breakouts in these rough areas, i definitely recommend it!

I had the chance to take home a sample of this, and used it on a day when I had a particularly yucky breakout on my chin. Well, my skin was immediately brightened and softened...but it was the next day that I noticed right away the redness from all the blemishes was gone! They had significantly healed (not completely, but probably shortened the healing time by days). I found this to be an unexpected and great effect from this peel.

I would go with the Microdelivery purifying peel. It seems that maybe your skin is congested in certain areas...this peel would exfoliate and help with clarity and brightness. Are you cleaning your makeup brushes..this could be the cause of the breakouts.

I can tell you this much..the pad is not textured..so it really doesnt hurt when you apply on your face. I had a spot on my face that I scratched by mistake earlier that day. When the pad touched it, it tingled a wee bit but the weird thing is it healed nicely the next morning. I am guessing that if it doesnt harm an open wound, it might not really irritate acne prone skin. Even if it doesnt complete diminish it, I am sure it removes the excess oil build up underneath the skin.
