I have both primers also, and prefer Korres for the following specific reasons:
1. I've found Hourglass, like other primers that contain some level of silicone, can cause "pilling" with makeup, especially around the eye area. You have to be kinda careful about not letting the primer form clumps when you're spreading other makeup like foundation on, and this Korres primer does a MUCH better job of not allowing this to happen because it's water-based.
2. I personally like the FEEL of this better than Hourglass. You know how primers with silicone have that, hmmmm, I dunno the word...almost greasy sheen (I even think it feels creepy ha)? This Korres primer doesn't, again because it's water-based.
3. It makes makeup application a DREAM because it feels like a moisturizer instead of a primer.
I use Hourglass from time to time, but after I use it, I always ask myself why I did it, and I go right back to Korres Mattfying Pomegranate lol....

I have used both the Hourglass and the Korres primers. I think they are similar in some ways, but I prefer the Korres one as of late. I feel that the Hourglass primer washes out my already pale complexion, and if I want to wear it alone I need to warm up my face with bronzer. However, it goes on so smoothly to the skin and feels so nice. I also like that the Hourglass doesn't have a scent.
The Korres primer has the perfect amount of pigment to even out my skintone. I find that as my day progresses, my skin looks better, and I have found that the Hourglass doesn't have the same long-term perfecting as Korres (for my skin). I LOVE that the Korres primer is 94% natural, as using natural products is very important to me.
I would choose Korres for everyday use, and for those days when you just need something to even out your skin and help your blush adhere to the skin. I would use Hourglass for full makeup days, or special occasions because of the price and my personal preference.

I really like both. They both are wonderful. But yes hourglass is a bit more money but boy oh boy it is sure smooth. But I like the tint to the korres, because I have olive skin:) but again I use both because I have both......lol. Have to love a primer. I don't have use base all the time because of them. Yay!
