These colors applied wet will give the shades a brighter and more metallic finish.

this is definitely good for blue eyes... but only if you want your saturation to be very LOW. It does not apply heavily so I actually think the only way to wear this is wet. I have blue eyes, loved the color options but returned it because it was so hard to get a good pigment on my brush.

Wet doesnt work for me personally, however I tried it and the colors stayed true.
I also have the nude palette and the colors are different- great colors I love it!

They are a little more bold. I personally like them better wet, because I like a bolder color. It seems like the sparkles are heavier when you apply wet. It still has a semi-translucent effect though, so it is not over bearing.

I have both the nude palette and this one. It does work just as well as the nude dry and wet. I also have blue eyes and I use this palette. It is just lovely for winter no matter what your eye color. Hope this helps!

I have blue/ blue gray eyes and these looked great on me. I use them wet also. I usually use a light color all over my lid to the crease then use a dark color wet as a top lid liner. I tried about 7-8 different combinations an all were great. I own a lot of the baked eyeshadows and if you like the nude set, I think that you will love In the Dark as well. Have fun playing!

The top row applies similiar to the nude palette (I have that one too), the bottom row is suitable for both a sheer layer of color, as well as for producing a smokey eye-- if done very carefully and with lots of blending. I have used two of the bottom row colors wet as eyeliner, and it was perfect. Very smooth and lasted well.

answer 2
use a regular eye shadow applicator for the base color (the lighter shades on top) then use a crease or blended eyeshadow brush for a smokey look for the darker color (on the bottom)

I use the I.T sephora shadow brush. It works wonderfully with the palette

Baked shadows are easier to apply with a sponge applicator. I usually smooth it out with a brush if I'm doing a lot of blending, but to get them out of the palette it's usually easier to use the sponge first or all the color and sparkle gets compounded onto itself instead the brush.

Any brush will do really that's not too big. The trick is to moisten the brush not drench but PAT the shadow, dap shadow and place it where you want it. DO NOT RUB it on. It'll look smudged, not elegant. Place it on lash line and lid, then take a dry brush, dab shadow again DRY and blend the same coloring on rest of eye. Its a simple smoky eye. Add black liquid liner...AND YOU'RE DONE.

For the cost of this palette--or the MicroSmooth Baked which also offers the cobalt--just buy it! You can't go wrong.

I don't think they have the exact colors separately, but the nude shimmer reminds me of Sephora's eyeshadow in Peach. It's not as sparkly and it's a more of a peachy nude. Hope this is helpful!

I'm no expert, but I do my best friend's make up a lot and I actually bought her this palette for her birthday! She has medium brown hair, green eyes and a light-medium complexion. I often use the first color (top, far left) to highlight under her brow and her inner corners. I use the second to last on the right, top row, and sweep it all over her lid and crease (little bit on the bottom lash line). Then I take the color to the left of it and apply it on the outer 2/3 of the crease and the outer 1/2 of the lid. Then, I use the second farthest left color on the bottom row to outline her upper and lower lash line, creating a small wing. Finally, I use the middle color on the bottom row to extend the lash line and create a semi-smokey eye, by blending it into the crease. She really likes it! I think it looks good on lighter skin-tones as well, as I am super light and have tried it on my skin-tone. I hope this helps a little bit, or sparks some creativity!

Excellent question! I, too, have very fair skin and these shades work for me because you can use the colors wet or dry. You can sweep on just a little color or build more for an all-out glamorous look. Shades of purple make green eyes pop (artists work with a colorwheel, and oppposites attract)! This magnificent palette has a gentle pink and a blackened plum which will accent your natural emerald. You will also enjoy the nude/deep brown duo, the pure antique gold, and the cobalt blue. I promise, you will have others green with envy . . .

Question
Will the Cobalt Blue ever be sold individually?
I have been in love with that particular shade of blue since the first time I saw this palette. While all of the dark colors on the bottom row would be put to good use, I will never use any of the ones on the top. I was just wondering if there were any other options to acquiring the Cobalt Blue specifically? Thank you so much for your help!!!

i too want this palette solely for the cobalt blue color!! :D it's a gorgeous bold, yet bright cobalt blue; unlike other cobalt/royal blues that are merely just bright. anyway i saw the sephora trio that has a cobalt blue; hopefully the link i added will take you directly to it. it's called solar eclipse. i've been thinking of getting it. let me know what you think. i can't tell if it's the same, but it looks pretty close if it isn't the same. it still isn't as cheap as i would like, but it's better than paying $30 for one color. :D let me know if you think it looks/is the same.

Are you able to purchase any of the colors as a single or do you have to buy the whole palette? There is one particular shade I like, however, I hate to have the buy the whole palette just for one color.

You can only buy these colors in a pallet. When I purchased this pallet I was only looking for a lilac color and I asked an employee if the color was sold separately and I was told that this was a special edition pallet and therefore none of the colors were sold individually.
