I have 3A type curls (according to naturallycurly) and it totally worked for me. Even under humid conditions, it kept my hair straight... Usually, any kind of humidity will make my hair frizz and curl instantly.

I have natural curly waves that are frizzy. My hair is dry, coarse, and thick. I usually have to use a straightener, and it takes a few runs to get it straight. This product worked great and really does straighten my hair a blowdryer. You just have to play with the amount you put on. Too much and it gets a lil sticky, too little and not all the strands are straight and smooth.

Yes my hair is naturally curly. I use this, blow it out with a round brush and then a flat iron just to smooth it out more. Most people think my hair is naturally straight and are surprised when I leave it curly.

Hi i have only slightly wavy hair and i still need to use a flatiron after using this product so i'm thinking it might not work so well for curly hair. Maybe stop at sephora and ask for a large sample and try it before you (potentially) waste your $ on a product that won't work for you.

Need to use blow dryer?
I have really tight, kinky curls and am looking for a product to make them looser. I never blow dry my hair, though, because it makes my hair super frizzy. Will I be able to use this to get looser curls without blow drying? Thank you!!

Unlike the previous (and better, in my opinion) straightening product by Bb which didn't require heat, this product only works when heat is applied. I'm like you, not a blow dry type of girl, but with this I have to. But it doesn't take a ton of blow drying to get it to work if you put it on damp hair.

No, the product is heat activated and only works when you either blow dry ( or, if you are lazy like me, put it on dry hair then straighten.) When you blow dry it, it really works, but won't do anything on normal hair.

This product is meant to be heat-activated and works best with the heat of a dryer or a flat iron so i'm not sure how well it will work to give you relaxed curls without using any heat.

Its best to blow dry straight. But if you roll the tips of your hair with your round brush while blow drying it and hold the heat over it for about 5 seconds, your hair will have a great flip!

It won't give you looser curls unless you use heat of some kind as it is heat activated. My hair also, would get frizzy after blowing dry. But now I blow it dry and use my curling/flat iron and it get smooth and straight. There is also something in the product to protect your hair from the heat. I love it.

Hi i live in OH and we have decent humidity here in the summer but i'm not sure why type of humidity you are dealing with. I used this all summer and felt it held up pretty well in the humidity. i found for me the key was to use it along with a frizz serum. i really like the paul mitchel black bottle frizz serum (called something other than frizz serum but essentially that's what it is). it doesn't make my hair greasy and performs well with the B&B product. Just my experience....

Yes, it definitely helps keep the frizz out - even in humidity.
With other products, I've used them and my hair looks great - until I go out in the fog or humidity - but this product leaves my hair looking smooth nearly all day. I do use a flat iron after I've used the product before blow drying.

This will protect your hair from blow dry heat, but depending on the heat of your flat iron or curling iron, a light spritz with a heat protectant will be a safe bet (especially for long hair).

answer 7
Yes, as it states in the "What it does" section, it will not only work as a smoothing "styling balm" for blow outs, but also for protecting your hair from damage due to the heat of your styling tools (i.e. blow dryers & flat irons).
Because it has the added bonus of being a thermal-protectant (a product you typically would have to buy separately to achieve true lasting results) while also combating frizz caused by humidity means you WON'T need to purchase any additional products to keep your hair protected from heat-causing damage.

answer 7
It can. It depends on where you use it and how you apply it, in my experience.

You need the teeniest amount if your hair is shoulder length or shorter, just a smidge more for longer hair. It's frustrating because the tutorial videos show them using a LOT of this product which is misleading. But, it will weigh down the hair and do the opposite of what you want for fine hair if you try to use that much.

I use this by really rubbing it through my palms and then pressing it into wet hair from mid-shaft down. I never use it too close towards my scalp. I spray a bit of volumizing spray (Bumble and Bumble's thickening hairspray works well) all over the roots and then blow dry like that.

This product will give you a lot of nice bounce and volume at the ends, so it looks like your hair is thicker and more voluminous. It will also look smoother and softer. But you really need a different product at the roots to "lift" otherwise fine hair will just sink down.

Hope that helps!

Question
I use Grooming Creme now--is Straight Blow Dry better?
I have medium-length hair that gets frizzy easily in humidity. I've been using a dab of Bumble and bumble Grooming Creme as a leave-in conditioner before styling with a hair dryer and curling iron, and I've been very happy with the results. I've just run out of Grooming Creme, and I'd like to know if I should switch to the Straight Blow Dry. Would I use it the same way as the Grooming Creme? Also, how does it affect hair texture? I love the light, greaseless feel the Grooming Creme gives, and I'm worried that the Straight Blow Dry might leave that awful sticky feeling most anti-frizz products give my hair. (It took me 5 years to use up my Grooming Creme, so I'll be living with my choice for quite a while!) Thanks in advance...

Question
Has anyone using this product also tried Living Proof's Straight Making styling treatment for thick to coarse hair and/or LP's straight spray?
How does this compare to those products? I have very thick hair that's wavy in some places, curly/frizzy in others. The LP products do an OK job, but I'm always looking for the Holy Grail! How do they compare in terms of overall cost to use, fragrance, how long your style lasts, how straight your hair gets with, and with how much manipulation by heat. Thanks!!
