I have 3A type curls (according to naturallycurly) and it totally worked for me. Even under humid conditions, it kept my hair straight... Usually, any kind of humidity will make my hair frizz and curl instantly.

I have natural curly waves that are frizzy. My hair is dry, coarse, and thick. I usually have to use a straightener, and it takes a few runs to get it straight. This product worked great and really does straighten my hair a blowdryer. You just have to play with the amount you put on. Too much and it gets a lil sticky, too little and not all the strands are straight and smooth.

Hi i have only slightly wavy hair and i still need to use a flatiron after using this product so i'm thinking it might not work so well for curly hair. Maybe stop at sephora and ask for a large sample and try it before you (potentially) waste your $ on a product that won't work for you.

Yeah, I have chemically treated hair with highlights growing out, so the hair is really damaged and it still makes it soft. If you are going to blow dry your hair, I would suggest it, but in between blow dries a moisturizing hair treatment alway helps

No, the product is heat activated and only works when you either blow dry ( or, if you are lazy like me, put it on dry hair then straighten.) When you blow dry it, it really works, but won't do anything on normal hair.

I agree with jannymac. I never used a blow dryer before, as it usually just frizzed and volumized my thick, curly hair; but that is NOT a problem nor the results you'll get if you use this product.

Its best to blow dry straight. But if you roll the tips of your hair with your round brush while blow drying it and hold the heat over it for about 5 seconds, your hair will have a great flip!

Sorry ! I have curly hair and I applied this, got distracted and didn't have time to blow dry it. It didn't seem to relax them any but make my curls shiny!

It won't give you looser curls unless you use heat of some kind as it is heat activated. My hair also, would get frizzy after blowing dry. But now I blow it dry and use my curling/flat iron and it get smooth and straight. There is also something in the product to protect your hair from the heat. I love it.

Make sure you use a heat protectant too, because the product doesn't have any heat protecting elements.

I don't use a separate product with this, but I do use Ojon damage reverse treatment once a week and am liberal with conditioner.

This will protect your hair from blow dry heat, but depending on the heat of your flat iron or curling iron, a light spritz with a heat protectant will be a safe bet (especially for long hair).

I don't think so, it makes your hair soft and smooth, but you might still want to put a frizz taming serum in befor blowdrying. The product does not work with out blowdrying though.

No, I've found this is only effective on damp hair that you're about to blow-dry. It needs the heat to really activate.

Hi i live in OH and we have decent humidity here in the summer but i'm not sure why type of humidity you are dealing with. I used this all summer and felt it held up pretty well in the humidity. i found for me the key was to use it along with a frizz serum. i really like the paul mitchel black bottle frizz serum (called something other than frizz serum but essentially that's what it is). it doesn't make my hair greasy and performs well with the B&B product. Just my experience....

With other products, I've used them and my hair looks great - until I go out in the fog or humidity - but this product leaves my hair looking smooth nearly all day. I do use a flat iron after I've used the product before blow drying.

Thanks everyone! I tried B&B and agree - I prefer it to Living Proof. My hair is softer and feels cleaner with this product. Love it!

I also use Living Proof straight spray and like it. The spray leaves your hair a bit cleaner than B&B straight.. I think B&B would work better if you have a good amount of curl.

B&B Straight is a million times bettet than Living Proof. I have tried and there is no comparison!!

I am also a hair stylist and have tried SO MANY straight/smoothing balms. This one is by far my favorite. It doesn't make your hair feel course and straw like. My hair felt soft and smooth and I was even able to go to bed and wake up w/ it looking perfect! It's AMAZING and I def prefer this over the Living Proof.

I liked it more than LP. I found LP hard to get evenly distributed and needed a ton of it to coat my hair. Straight blow dry spread more evenly with less product. I also think it needed less time to blow dry. I can't say how they would compare in humidity at the moment. It's been really dry here since I've gotten it. Hope this helps.

I have extremely curly thick hair and freak out about sticky products. The straight blow dry balm is not sticky at all. And it leaves my hair incredibly soft and smooth. I have tried tons of products and have spent tons of money. I highly recommend this product!!

There is absolutely no sticky feeling. I use only this product and my hair will last several days. The humidity does not make it frizz. If it gets messed up, I just use the curling iron slightly and the style is right back.

You will love Straight, I used to use grooming cream and this is a much better product, It works to straighten and reduce fly aways. Trust me, you will love it and be happy you made the switch

I prefer this one over the grooming creme however the grooming creme offers some "hold" to the hair. This stuff is amazing

This product is NOT greasy or sticky AT ALL ;o} I have somewhat frizzy hair plus it's chemically treated and this is the best Bumble and Bumble styling product (besides bb does it all) that I have found in a LONG time. I have also used the Grooming Creme and to me - there's no comparison - this product tops the cake!

I think this would go beautifully with Brilliantine. I use that with straight hair for a little texture/shine

The shampoo and conditioner are great as well. Definitely recommend the three part line together.

I start with the tonic lotion (spray) to protect my hair, then I use the thickening spray at the roots and top half of my hair to give it some body, avoiding the ends because that's where I have the most volume and definitely don't need more. Then I apply the Straight Blow Dry, and after blow drying and flat ironing, I use either defrizz if I just want smooth, frizz free results or I use brilliantine if I want a bit more texture to it. Just as a side note, Straight Blow Dry works so well for me that I don't have to wash my hair every day. On these days I just flat iron any kinks out and again smooth it out with just a touch of defrizz. I have very difficult, coarse hair and this has been a great combo for me...sounds like a lot but you don't need much of any of the products so they last a long time.

After blow drying with Straight Blow Dry, I apply BB Defrizz or Quenching Complex to keep my dry hair smooth, shiny, and healthy-looking. I also like BB Shine on (and on...) Finishing Spray for extra shine and control.

Per what my hairdresser does, I also use the B & B Styling Lotion (spray) and defrizz along with the Straight. But I have also used it alone. Leaves the hair smooth, frizz-free, and silky!

I have always had to flat iron also...I still used the flat iron but the results were better my hair was shiny and bouncy and the style lasted way longer. I didn't have the frizz creeping back throughout the day even with humidity.

I don't think it will achieve a full straightness, if you usually have issues with that. However, I use a small amount, and a larger dollop might stand a chance.

Hi i still use my flat iron with this product but i use it far less. It probably only takes me 3-5 mins to totally flat iron my hair with using the B&B straightener. I can take bigger sections since my hair drys straighter when using the product. Not completely straight but better. I section my hair out quickly after drying and use a black comb to come through a piece then run it through the flat iron. This method seems to work quickly for me and allows me to not repeatedly iron the same pieces of hair. Hope it works for you !

I still go over my hair after blow drying with an iron to make it smooth. I find that when I do this, my style lasts longer. I have permed curly hair and I used this whole line, blow dried my hair, used a straightening iron and went out on a boat in the ocean one day and my hair stayed frizz free. There's no way it would have been that way if I hadn't used the products.
