This product is liquid form. It is best used after washing the face, typicalyl in the morning prior putting makeup on and at night to remove all the dirt, oil and makeup from the face.

This product is very mild and alcohol free. I was a bit confused too by it being called a lotion. It's actually a liquid but seems to have hydrating properties. I use this at night kind of like a makeup remover. (I don't wear heavy makeup so it seems fine for that.) Then I apply my night cream.

It says lotion on the label, and yes, it's a liquid, too. Because of the dewyness of my skin, I actually use this as my lotion, twice a day, but apply it like a toner. If your skin is dry, Origins also makes a moisturizer to use after this. However, I found that after using this twice a day, I don't need lotion any more and this is now my lotion.

answer 11
This is a liquid treatment lotion that helps smooth and hydrate the surface of your skin so it's prepared for your serum and/or moisturizer that follows. Applying the treatment lotion right after cleansing also allows your serum and/or moisturizer to be more effective.

Yes; however, do not use this as a makeup remover. It is to balance out the skin after washing. Some times, we wash our faces and then wash our hair. The dirt and oil from our hair now re-clog our pores after being washed.

Yes, it does.

I was told that by an employee and I find what she said to be true from my personal usage of the product. When I use it after a cleanser I can see residue the cleanser didn't take away on my cotton pad. Also, my skin feels very smooth after use, doesn't have any weird residue feel in the slightest.

Yes! I use a face wipe at night to get off my makeup and then use this as my toner/lotion. It removes the residue that's left behind and also moisturizes your skin. I also use it in the morning after cleansing my skin-- or if I did a full wash the night before, then I only use this to refresh and moisturize. I love it, and I had patchy dry and oily skin until I started using this a month ago.

Wash your face as usual. Take a cotton ball, place right on the opening, "spill it" so that you can get the right amount on your cotton ball and wipe your face. Use a moisturizer if needed. :-)

I run it over my T-zone area with a soft cotton pad or, if I'm using it after a cleanser, wherever I put the cleanser after I've washed all I can off with warm water.

I was taught at the store that it is used after a cleanser to remove any remaining residue from the cleanser. Residue would include the "soap" of the cleanser or dirt/makeup/dead skin/etc. that the cleanser didn't take off. It also is meant to tighten pores. I think it's because it cleans them out and then it affects them so that they shrink up. It helps to tone down facial oils too so you don't get too shiny.

It can be used on its own instead of after a cleanser, but it can be too drying and in that case, I'd recommend using a lotion or oil after. That's what I have to do or I'll be too dry. I don't find it to be particularly hydrating. I think it's marked as that because it's meant to be less harsh than other toners that dry your face in order to help tone down facial oils.

Use a small cotton ball. Larger cotton balls may soak up more of the toner which will result in waste of the product. Apply it all over you face but concentrate on oily areas. I like to apply it on my neck as well.

I use cotton rounds and just place the cotton round on the opening and flip it once or twice to soak a small portion of the round. Then I apply all over my face except the eyes. Let dry for a minute then continue on with your routine!

I just place a small amount onto a cotton round and then brush the wet cotton round over my face.
