It doesn't have a rough texture. It's very smooth and foams up pretty well with the clarisonic. Also, it's nice because, unlike other washes ive tried, a little goes a long way when it comes to foaming up with the clarisonic.

I wear liquid foundation, not powder, and it removes it completely. I would imagine that it would remove powder as well.

I notice that it leaves bits and pieces of eye make up. I would recommend removing eye make up prior to using this.

Question
Does this cleanser leave your skin 'squeaky' like Checks and Balances?
I bought Checks and Balances recently and it left my face and hands with that tight, squeaky feeling like you've used soap. Does this do the same?

A Perfect World gives you a bit of a tightened skin feel after use. However, as long as you follow your cleansing with moisturizer, (as you should after using any cleanser) your skin should not feel much tightness and should feel smooth.

I actually love this product because of the ingredients and smell, however if you have sensitive skin I do not recommend because it can be really drying. After I used the product my face became so dry afterwards that it not only itched but felt as if it would crack open. You ask if it will leave your skin squeaky clean - yes, but also beware i could also be drying for you. Good luck!

I do not know why the full ingredient list cannot be found on either Sephora.com or Origins.com. I give a Failing grade to both for neglecting to allow customers to be fully informed when they purchse products.

Usually, I refer to < www (dot) makeupalley (dot) com > to get a list of ingredients. (Note, that I have been instructed by Sephora not to use a non-Sephora.com URL).

From this site, here's the ingredient list:
Aqueous (Water, Aqua Purificata, Purified) Infusion, Lavadula Angustifolia (Lavender), Potassium Myristate, Glycerin, Potassium Behenate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Potassium Pamitate, Potassium Laurate, Potassium Stearate, PEG-3 Distearate, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile), Mentha Spicata (Spearmint), Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium), Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot) Essential Oils (Olea), Tourmaline, Laminar, Saccharin Extract, Amorphophallus Konjac Root Powder, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone (iln21793)

answer 2
It can. The white tea ingredient aids in controlling flare-ups and redness. It is also a gentle cleanser. For acne, I would recommend purchasing a cleansing brush to use with A Perfect World. Sephora has their own brand of these cleansing brushes that are either $7 or $16. If you are willing to make the investment, you can purchase a Clarisonic for about $150 and use this with the cleanser.

Question
Does it help at all with rosacea?
I have mild rosacea on my cheeks and I was looking for a gentle cleanser to help manage it. I've been using the BareMinerals basic cleanser and it seems to be working okay, but I wonder if there might be something better out there. I've read that tea is a helpful ingredient for preventing flare-ups. Does has anyone had any experience one way or the other with this product?

Yes, A Perfect World cleanser would aid in controlling your skin condition. The white tea extract is a natural and very effective ingredient that targets redness and irritated, flared-up skin. You must follow your cleansing with a moisturizer!

It contains certain sulfates, more gentle, then the more general sulfates such as sodium lauryl sufates. Sulfates help the product lather as well as rinse quickly. The harsher the sulfate the quicker the results. I believe the sulfates are more gentle in this product.
