It's not necessary, but b/c I have reactive skin, I do usually pat a damp, cool washcloth over my face about five or ten minutes after application. This seems to work well for me.

I do not rinse after use. I wash my face and instead of applying toner I will use a pad. Then I apply an anti aging serum from Philosophy.

I don't think this product is moisturizing, but it did not dry my skin out. It did improve my skin texture and give it a nice glow after just one use.

It is not a moisturizer. So you would want to use a moisturizer after.

My usual procedure is to wash with a gentle cleanser, then use one of the pads, wiping it gently across & around my face - giving particular attention to fine lines & "crows' feet" - until the pad feels dry (this usually takes several minutes, because the jar has a generous amount of the peel liquid). I wait a minute until the liquid dries, then apply a nighttime moisturizer/cream. I do NOT rinse the peel product off. However, everybody's skin is different, so you'd need to see what works best for you.

In my personal experience, I wash my face, then wipe these on my face. Then any serum, and then moisturizer. But only use these 2x max. You don't want to over whelm your skin!

Yes, you can follow this up with a serum so that the potent ingredients will absorb best onto your healthy skin cells and not the dead, damaged or discolored ones.

I think you may run the risk of irritating your skin if you use a toner after the peel depending on what you use. Honestly, I don't use a toner when I use this peel, but if you really need it, then it would be best before.

Use it as a substitute for toner twice a week.

I can say it did nothing for my acne scars. It wasn't irritating, but there was no change in the tone or texture of my skin and my scars were still very prominent.

Not sure about acne scarring but it has definitely helped even my skin tone. I spend alot of time out in the sun (gardener, golfer).. so even with sunscreen i'm exposed to the sun for many hours a day. I tend to form dark spots along my cheek bone area. After 2 weeks i already see improvement (and i'm looking in my magnifying mirror!).

Yes, it worked for me. I used these origins pads twice a week, followed by Alpha H Liquid Gold and nothing afterwards (no moisturizer) and my scars disappeared. My skin is very fair and normal.

I use it 2 to 3 times per week. Because I have reactive skin, I pat a washcloth dampened with cool water over my face about five or ten minutes after using it. This system works well for me, and makes the product one of my favorites.

I use it every other day without it drying out my skin, it's pretty gentle. But, you probably just have to see what works for you- use it less often if it's irritating!

It says 'twice weekly' on the container - it doesn't dry me out at all so I tend to use more like every other day & have no problems... I also cut the pads in half to make them last longer since they are kind of expensive.

I use this at night so I can let it settle without any makeup or other skin products [I also skip moisturizer except under my eyes] and do its work overnight. Remember to follow package warning about sun sensitivity and wear sunscreen during the day.

I'm 65 & have started to see some age spots - but not many. This is not a bleaching product. What it mainly does is remove dry, flaky, patchy areas.

Question
This may sound stupid, but does it make your skin actually peel?
My skin tend to have flaky tendencies without being dry... I've used this and a couple others and can't tell whether it's the product or just my skin being super awesome as always. It's always the majority of my face and happens frequently, there is no real way for me to test it.

It does seem to remove rough, dead skin areas. I have "mature" skin & get occasional dry, flaky patches that my regular cleansers don't remove. These pads actually perform as advertised. It may be due to the fact that the jar contains a generous amount of the peel liquid, & as long as you flip the jar over after you use each pad so that the liquid circulates, the pads stay heavily infused with the liquid. I just wipe the pad around & around my face until the pad starts to feel dry. I use them 2-3 times a week. People constantly tell me I look 15-20 years younger than my actual age, so I'm very very happy with this product! Of course, it's likely that you already have great skin, but I think a product like this keeps us looking great :-)

I have combo skin and when I try this, it makes my skin super soft and baby smooth the next day, then a bit dry/flaky the day after, then smooth after that. Peels are suppose to speed up skin/cell renewal, so it will help you shed skin faster, but the flakiness after each peel shouldn't last
