Origins A Perfect World™ Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea

What it is:An antiaging moisturizer with the protective powers of white tea. What it is formulated to do:Research at several major universities has proven that white tea is among the most potent antioxidants, anti-agers, anti-stress, anti-smoke, and anti-pollution antidotes. Now its protective powers are energized and optimized in a moisturizer that surrounds skin in a virtually impenetrable protective bubble. This barrier intercepts damage before it causes lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and loss of firmness. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Petrochemicals- Phthalates- GMOs- Triclosan What else you need to know:This product contains several powerful natural ingredients. Ferment of sugarcane acts like a mini-sparkplug to start skin's ability to neutralize free radicals before they deface skin. Murumuru butter maximizes skin's moisture barrier. Rose fruit oil hydrates. Centella Asiatica firms. Vitamin C brightens and helps even out skintone. And aromatic orange, bergamot, and spearmint fortify the feel-good factor. Keep your skin in A Perfect World™ 24/7.

Questions & Answers for Origins A Perfect World™ Antioxidant Moisturizer with White Tea

Question
Did you ever find this moisturizer is a little greasy?
I find this moisturizer is greasy right after you apply it. After a little while, it is absorbed, but I still feel a little greasy.
Another problem is when I change the toner to a different brand, I get ' rubbing mud' problem on my face. I clean my face well so I definitely sure it is not caused by the dead cuticles. It feels like some chemical reactions happened.

Yes, it is way too greasy for my skin! I can only use it once or twice a week before bed, or my T-zone becomes very slick and I develop pimples. This is NOT normal for my skin, which can be sensitive, but is not prone to breakouts and is never oily. I will continue using it periodically at night until I've used it up, but I'm looking for another daily moisturizer and I won't buy this one again.,

Yes, this product is greasy. I found it to sit on my skin and stay slick rather than absorb in. Makeup applied overtop the moisturizer did not go on well

The greasiness might be do to the amount of product you are using. Less is definitely more with this moisturizer. Working a small amount into the skin works in my case, and I have combination hormonal acne-prone skin.

I've found Origins to be a great brand for my sensitive skin (LOVE the Checks and Balances Cleanser), but this moisturizer doesn't work well for me. It's too greasy. I'm going to try another Origins moisturizer.

I wouldn't use this product for acne prone skin. My skin is pretty stable (I only get a few, isolated minor blemishes every once in a while), but based on how rich and greasy this cream is, I think it would probably cause you to break out.

My guess would be no. It is thick and greasy. I can't imagine it would work well for those prone to acne.

My skin is extremely sensitive and I find this moisturizer really irritates my eyes. However, it works fine on the rest of my face.

I have sensitive dry skin. This is moisturizing and calming, a bit on the oilier side, but made me break out after first few days of use. Perhaps it was just an initial reaction but it did not resolve after a week and I returned the product.

Question
Too "anti aging" for young skin ??
I want a product with tons of anti oxidants and free radical protection, but I'm 20 and am worried this product may be too strong and will age my skin prematurely. ( my brothers a plastic surgeon and says anti aging products can damage younger skin ).
I usually stay away from products that say " anti aging " which is why I clicked on this product as it seemed packed with anti oxidant, which I want... Then found the words " anti aging " and worried it may be too harsh..

This cream for me is more preventative and hydrating and think would be good for your age. You may prefer the serum which makes your skin like silk and keeps it healthy. I would beware of plus, ping and lifting creams at your age.

Remember that 'anti-aging' is just marketing. If you're concerned, I would ask your brother what particular ingredients in anti-aging products he is referring to, and then see if this product contains them.

answer 3
Signs of aging typically occur as a result of oxidation (among other things), so you'll usually find "anti-oxidant" and "anti-aging" to be used in the same products. I wouldn't be worried about this being too harsh since it's anti-oxidant/anti-aging properties seem to come form the white tea (not a harsh chemical!).

Preventive or corrective?
Is this moisturizer more of a preventive cream, or is it meant to correct already damaged skin?

I would say more of a preventative cream. Many times younger women (20s -early 30s) think a cream isn't working. It is, you just don't have damage at that age so you think isn't working. Now that I'm a little older I can see which creams actually repair and others will keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

I used it throughout my pregnancy eight years ago -- it was great for my skin, which wasn't great during pregnancy -- and I continue to use it eight years later. It's paraben-free and without sulphates and dyes.

Question
Compared to Korres Rose cream?
I currently use the Korres rose moisturizer to spot treat some dry patches (I have oily/acne prone skin everywhere else), but I've found that in summer I am having some kind of a reaction to it (hard white bumps). Anybody tried both? How does this compare? Thickness?

I've used both and think they're both great. The Origins product feels a little thinner, but I think it's also a lot more moisturizing. If you want more moisture, go with the Origins. My sensitive skin behaved better with Origins as well, and I didn't have any breakouts. Korres definitely smells better, though! If you have oily skin, and you want some light moisture, I would try Kate Somerville's oil-free moisturizer or Ole Henriksen's sheer transformation.

Question
does this product have SPF 25
I was told by a rep in your store that this had SPF 25 but on your site it does not talk about this?
I have oily, dehydrated skin and I break out very easy. I was looking for something anti-aging with SPF that would not make my skin break out. I also wanted some sun protection in it. Is this product right for me?

This particular version does not have SPF; however, Origins does offer a version with SPF. It is in a more matte, lighter green container. You can see them both on the website.
