Oxidation?

Can anyone comment as to whether this foundation oxidizes, and whether the shades run dark? I've got fair skin of the "they don't make foundation for me and oh no is that the sun I'd better hide" type, so when something turns slightly orange or even a tiny bit darker, you really notice it on me.

Shades run very dark. I use Ivory (010) which is still a little too dark for me (it is the lightest one they make) but it is still worth it.

Yes sorry to say it does become a lot darker but i usually like my foundation a little darker than my skin so i dont mind. Get the lightest shade.

I am extremely fair also and always gravitate toward "ivory" type shades. Maybe a neutral based shade would be your best bet.. As far as oxidizing , I've never had that issue but using a makeup primer is really important to me, personally. I like to mix the foundation w/primer.
Better makeups brands
seem to be highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. Try this- I don't
think you will be sorry!

I would not recommend this product for dry skin because it tends to cling to dry patches. However, I do know people who have dry skin that wear this product. They just really have to moisturize.

How to apply? Foundation brush or sponge?

For those that use this product, how do you apply it? I have a bad habit of using my fingers which I know is a no-no but I've primarly used stick foundation (benefit) so that worked for me. Since this is liquid, what do YOU think is the best tool to apply for best coverage? I NEED good coverage...Thanks is advance!!!

Definitely use a brush! I use this foundation with the Sephora airbrush effect brush. I believe it is #56. It is amazing and gives it a flawless finish!

I pump a small amount on to my finger, dot it all over a section of my face, then blend with a Real Techniques stifling brush. I repeat this process on the rest of my face. This allows me to build up to the coverage I need without putting too much on at once. The Real Techniques brushes are amazing and super soft. They leave a great finish as well!

I use the Sigma f80 flat top synthetic kabuki brush or the Urban Decay optical blurring brush to apply this & it gives a totally flawless finish. I don't use my fingers except to dot the product onto my face then I blend in downwards motions with the brush.

I personally use the Handy kabuki brush from bareminerals. I feel like the coverage given from it with this foundation is awesome, easy to layer and stays on. For me it's the easiest, I've tried a few others but I don't see a need to branch off from a brush that works so well for me.

I always use powder regardless. I also use it with this foundation because I feel it just helps to perfect the look. I highly recommend the Josie Moran Matchmaker powder. It is amazing and leaves a flawless finish. It also contains Argan oil, and it makes my skin feel amazing. I was worried at first because I have oily skin, but it looks amazing. I wear 031 in the Dior foundation and I do the middle shade in the Josie Moran. There are 3 shades in that line. It matches with my skin perfect!

Personally, I would use a powder with it. It does stay on but it makes your face a little shiny, since I 'm normally not. I like using the Lancome Paris Matte Finish powder on top of it

This is a fantastic foundation.
It is super light and leaves the skin super dewey.
It gives the skin a glowy, airbrushed look, but as I mentioned, it really is light. I can still see my freckles when just using this foundation.

I don't think a powder is necessary; however, I like to throw some on for a little bit better coverage.

I use a clinique powder.

According to the Sephora worker, it has oil in it. It was perfect for my dry skin though and hasn't caused any breakouts.

I think so. Becasue I have very oily skin, especially around my t-zone area, I also get little breakouts on my face at time, but this foundation works really well for me! It's natural & long lasting.

I have very dry skin and have fine lines around my eyes. I find if I dont use any makeup around my eye area just a bit of moisturizer then only very very slightly pat some forever on to blend it looks dewy and amazing.

Not long lasting. Very thin and watery..need several powder touch ups on top throughout the day. I would never use it alone, it would be like having nothing on. Best with DiorSkin Flawless Perfection Fusion powder/foundation.

color for fair skin

Does anyone know what color would suit me? I have very fair skin with pink undertones. Am worried that the lightest color would be too yellow for me as its for neutral undertone. Thinking about trying cameo as its for pink undertones but as its for light skintones Im worried that it might be a bit dark on me. I am currently using bobbi brown foundation in porcelain.

I too am very fair with pink undertones. Unfortunitely, the lightest shade was too yellow for me. I'm using MUFE HD's lightest shade instead (I think it's 110). Doesn't feel as nice, but the shade is perfect.
