Yes, but you will have to experiment to see what works best for you. It is a better deal to buy this set than individually.

I think it's a great set to get your feet wet. It has the necessary tools to create several looks. Too many brushes in a set and it just gets confusing! These are really the basic ones you need to get started.

This is a very good set for make up beginners. It has all the BASIC brushes you would need. Nothing fancy. You don't even need to use all of them! But definitely easy to use and figure out!

Yes, I think these would work well for a makeup newbie, but again, depending on preference you may or may not want longer handled standard brushes. In all, I find Sephora brushes to be of high quality and value.

My first answer was going to be no, not a good set for a beginner - but - the best answer is, the better the brush quality the better the experiences of making up. This is a go everywhere set of brushes and would be perfect for a beginner.

This is good for someone at any level. The brushes are definitely professional quality, and will allow for better application than cheaper, crudely cut brushes.

This is a good set of brushes in my opinion. Their great for your vanity. You can remove the top and they stand up,ready for use. I think they are synthetic. Kabooki brushes are the best in my opinion also. But these are good for the makeup table. Kat VonD brushes are really good too. But hers don't come with a Blush brush..hope that helps..

I'd recommend starting by figuring out what exactly you'd like to achieve in your look. This set has blush, smudge, concealer, shadow, and crease brushes so covers the basics of eyes and cheeks. They are of great quality and feature a synthetic/natural brush. The price is a great value for the variety included. It does not have a foundation brush but depending on what kind of foundation you use (if you apply foundation at all) it may not matter. I think if you are just beginning your quest for the perfect make up look you're investing in the right product.

These are definitely professional brushes...if you don't mind the fact that they are a little shorter than the full size brushes, then these are basically going to be the same for you. I would say it's a good value for what you are looking for, depending on how many of the brushes you need.

If you are looking for a good starter set, I think these are a nice option, but you may prefer longer handles for a good set. I specifically wanted the shorter handles because I travel a lot but in terms of the types of brushes, I think this is a good, solid value set.

My grandgirl (20) loves every brush and has lots of fun experimenting with all that they do. She'd be the one to really answer your question. For the money, I wish I'd gotten myself a set. The container is great for the counter or travel. Brushes aren't jostled around and remain undamaged. Go for it. I think you'd be happy with your purchase.

answer 1
The eye brushes can for sure, but I'm not positive about the blush/powder brush as I think it might be too soft to evenly distribute a mineral foundation.

They can be used with any make up. Each brush says on the handle what its intended use is. So this makes it much easier, especially for beginners.

No I don't think you can buy the case separately but it's worth it just to have ur brushes standing up and at the ready and if you are going some where I think it's perfect for take a long. The brushes are good too. Just my opinion.
