Yes, that is how I prefer to use it, after washing my face, as a gentle toner.

The instruction is, use the product to remove make up and NO NEED to actually wash your face after using it. So, doing it the other way around does not serve the main function of this product and that is to remove make up..

I wouldn't. It leaves an extremely light soapish residue -- like a cleansing wipe would. If you're just wanting to cleanse your face without rinsing it's no big deal at all, and it fades/dries/sinks in pretty quickly, but I don't think it has any kind of "toning" action.

It really depends on what type of toner you are already using but I personally see (and use) this as cleansing product. If your toner hydrates then you can not replace it with this.
Hope this helped.

I don't normally use a toner. I have combination/oily skin and this leaves my skin lightly cleansed without leaving it tight.

Yes! It's a hydrating water so I usually use it after I wash my face and I don't have to rinse it!

Because it has heavier silicone agents in it, I wouldn't use it as a toner over the whole face after cleansing, but it does make for a great eye makeup remover after cleansing.

This would make a great gently, non-drying toner! The micellar water act like little magnets to attract left over make up and residues, leaving the skin prepped and ready for your moisturizer.

Honestly, I don't use a cleanser after this using this cleansing water. I use this to remove my makeup at night and rinse with a wet wash cloth. My face feels refreshed and not tight at all. I then use my moisturizers and night creams and my face feels light, clean and refreshed.

No need to rinse it off. Your skin will absorb it pretty well in a few minutes, if not right away. I really like it as a toner and to remove traces of waterproof makeup after my shower.

In my opinion this is to be useed as a "lazy" cleanser. A regular cleaning regime is neccessary but we all have late nights,, early mornings when we are rushed, tired, not in the mood to do a 3 step cleanser. Makeup artists use a product like this to clean clients prior to a light Make up or full makeup. The skin care companies will not reccommend you drop your reqular cleaning ritual.. but for travle, vacation, lazy days go to this.
I have actually spoken to the skincare companies and this is the one point they all agree on. Hope this helps

I think for a dryer skin type, you could totally use this as a cleanser. Oily/combination may want to wash with something a little more deep cleaning power at least once a day.

yes it is! it will clean, remove makeup and tone your skin. you may want to have a 2nd cleanser in a different format for off days (i rotate exfoliating my skin with a scrub for example) , but i always use this to take off makeup, and then in the morning when i wake up.

hi there! i just wrote a review about this product and as a parisienne can confidently tell you this is as close as you're going to get! i was delighted to find this a month ago after mourning the loss of Crealine and refusing to pay $40-50 to have it here. this is made in France and has an extremely similar formula to many of our big name micellar waters over there! $20 for 13.5 is pricey by euro standards but in US it's a steal since they're impossible to find. ditch your eye makeup remover, wipes, etc etc. this will do it all!

It's the same kind of product. Overall all these micellaire waters work the same. This one is very good, but a warning that it's got a strong fragrance. It's not unpleasant (I think it smells good) but if you don't like scent then you won't like it. It also tastes very bad. Bioderma does as well but just as a warning in case you want to remove lipstick with this.

I don't know how it compares, because I haven't tried to other product. I do wan to say, though, that i love this product. Freshens your face and removes make up. PLUS the great dispenser for pumping the product onto your cotton pad. However, it looks like the bigger size doesn't have the nifty pump.

If I were you I'd try Sephora's own brand - Triple Action Cleansing Water. It's just the best, simple, gentle and effective. And at between $6 and $20 a bottle - really not expensive

Question
Is this ideal for fixing makeup errors?
I've been using Clinique's Take the Day Off makeup remover but it's not very ideal when I'm trying to fix makeup mistakes because it leaves a greasy residue and I don't want to rinse my face with makeup on. I've been doing a lot of cat eye looks lately with liquid and gel liners, but my hands are shaky and I often make mistakes that need a quick touch up. Would you recommend this product for quick touch ups? Does it leave your skin looking/feeling greasy after using it?

I've never used this product for fixing mistakes but it does not feel or leave a greasy residue. You could easily put this on a qtip to fix something and not have to worry about that. But it removes really well so you may have to reapply whatever you're fixing.

Question
what are the three actions?
The product is called "Triple action cleansing water" but the description never outlines what the three actions are. From the text, I was able to deduce that it 1) removes make-up and 2) tones skin, but what is the third action claimed in the title of the product? (And please don't inform me that it also "cleans" skin because that is the same as removing make up from skin, if you ask me.)
I am on my third bottle of this stuff and I even like it better than my Crealine H2O, but I am interested in learning what the third benefit is.
Thanks for your help!

I think the triple action refers to areas it cleanses: face, eyes and lip... similarly to the advertisement of Lancome's Eau Fraiche Douceur, that this product is exact copy of.
