Do people use this everyday?
I am mostly just curious because I recently bought the sephora $5 face cleanser brush and I have to give my skin a rest because I now have a really dry flaky patch on my cheek. Then again, my face is generally pretty dry, especially this time of the year.

I have acne prone skin and use this twice daily. I use an acne cleanser in the AM and Noxzema cleansing cream in the evening. Using an acne cleanser with this product twice a day made my skin way too dry.

I do :) I use it in the morning and at night. I would think it could be a little drying to your skin however if you had very sensitive or dry skin.

It depends entirely on your skin. Since your skin is dry, maybe try using it once a night as others have stated since that is when your skin heals during that period. I recently had a facial at Bliss and the esthetician told me to use it once at night with the sensitive brush head, but since I have combo/oily skin, it just wasn't enough so I switched back to using it twice a day. I know people with the same skin type as me, and they use the deep pore brush head, and I tried that, and did it put a toll on my skin! Couldn't use the device for a week. So it totally depends on what your skin is telling you.

I have super sensitive skin, but I use my Mia twice a day because I love how smooth my skin feels and how great makeup looks after using it. When I initially did this with the standard sensitive brush head, my skin got a little dry so I switched to the delicate with philosophy's purity face wash and it works perfect. Switch to the delicate brush head if your noticing any flaking or sensitivity to the Mia. Hope this helps!

I use it everyday, only once a day at night. The day we went to cut down our christmas tree, I was out in the cold wind all day - which always give me red, blotchy, flaky cheeks - I skipped that night, and I was fine to use it the next day. Its like anything else - see how your skin reacts. The gentle brush is pretty gentle, though.

I have sensitive skin - sometimes blotchy wtih flaky patches. I only use my Mia2 at night to wash off the dirt and makeup of the day - and allow my nighttime products to do their job better. In the morning, my face still feels clean, so I use a very mild cleanser and a splash of water. Using once a day has given me noticibly softer smoother skin,.

I take off my makeup and then use the Clarisonic every night. I don't feel it's necessary to use it the next morning. My skin is sensitive so I don't want to over exfoliate!

When I first got the Mia, I used it AM and PM with no irritation (using the gentle brush head that came with it). Now that my skin has gotten to a maintenance point (after about 3 weeks) I am using it mostly only in the PM, but sometimes in the AM during certain times of the month when I'm particularly oily.

I think it really depends on your skins sensitivity. I use it in the morning and before going to bed, and haven't had any problems. If anything, I've noticed my complexion is smoother and my skin tone is more even. Best thing to do is purchase it and try it out, if the brush is too harsh for your skin type, you can always buy the brush head for delicate skin.

The Mia2 has 2 speeds and more importantly a timer (20 seconds for forehead, 20 seconds for chin/nose area, 10 seconds for each cheek). I chose the Mia2 because of the timer feature, and am very glad I did. Its easy to get carried away and over use the brush and this prevents that.

The Mia2 has two speed setting, one minute pulsing T-Timer, and comes with a protective travel case. The Mia2 also typical comes in only two colors, white and pink, not counting the limited edition colors they come out with for the Mia2.

The Mia2 has an automatic timer which is useful for knowing when to switch to the different parts of my face. This way, I can gently use it AM & PM, even though the one minute interval always seems so short. If it didn't have a timer, like the Mia, I would probably try to use it for too long, and I'm guessing that might irritate my skin.

The difference between the two are the speeds. The Mia2 has 2 speed settings, for a better clean and a normal daily clean.

Charging question...
Just got my machine! Yay! But have to wait 24 hours :(. How often do you charge the Mia2? I know it has a limit of 24 minutes, but do you wait till it goes on low and then charge it, or can you keep it on charge after you're done using it?

I wait for my Mia2 to completely lose its charge, then I charge it (it takes about 12 hours). Once the light changes from blinking to solid, you know it's charged. I use my Mia2 once a day, and charge it about once a month.

It will flash when it needs charged. Might not be good for it to charge when it isn't needed. Sometimes makes battery less effective. Enjoy!!

Since my husband and I both use it, we seem to be charging the Clarisonic quite often...seems like once a week or so. I just wait until the gadget runs out of juice and then charge it. It is disappointing that it takes 24 hours to charge, so I usually can't use it at night or in the morning, depending when I put it on to charge.

I use mine about 3 minutes per day. In the evening I sometimes go an extra minute. Similar to the Sonic Care toothbrush the device will sort of buzz just prior to shutting off to alert you that it is time to charge. It won't be completely dead but I will usually put it on the charger until it is time to use it again. I honestly don't pay attention to how long it is on the charger but I would say it is >12 hours. I can go another week before it buzzes again. I have only had it 3 weeks so I cannot say if the battery is optimal but it seems to be functioning well.

Don't keep it on the recharge after each use, it will deplete the overall life of your battery. Didn't know it had 24 minutes. Thanks for the info. If you use it once a day (one minute a day), count 23 or 24 days (about 3 weeks) set the reminder on your phone to charge the Mia.

If what you are doing already is working well, you may not want to change your routine. However, I really like the Mia2 and it was worth the purchase to me because I'm always afraid that I won't get all of my makeup off of my face at night; this takes care of that. If you decide to give this system a try, I recommend starting out only using it at night to see how your skin reacts. I had to buy a delicate brush head because my skin is very sensitive; it has worked well for me with at-night-only use.
A lot of people say that they broke out when they started using this system and I wonder if they are being too rough with it. You barely need to touch your skin with the brush for it to work. Applying even a little pressure could irritate the skin. Also, the brush that comes with it may be too rough for the user.

I have had near perfect skin since adolescence, but got this brush because I thought it would get rid of a few small blackheads around my nostrils. I used it for almost 3 months, and it did not help this issue but did give me really weird, unpredictable (AND CONSTANT) pimples in weird places (cheeks, forehead, etc) that I had never before experienced.
After 2 weeks not using the darn thing they're starting to clear up....
if it's fixed, don't mess with it...

I have very good skin. Never breakout and I dont use any harsh cleansers on my face. Enter the Mia 2. After 2 uses breakout! If u already have flawless skin, dont bother. "if it aint broke, dont fix it"

I had pretty good skin before I got my Clarisonic (I only got one or two blemishes a month) and I still think it was worth the buy. It makes my skin feel so much better and it also helps it absorb anything I put on after using. I actually have pretty dry skin which makes it good for clearing any dry patches but with combination skin I can see it working to clear out pores and make your face feel fresher.

The regular Mia only has one speed and does not beep or pause when it is time to move to a new section on the face (important for even cleaning s to not overstimulate the skin and possibly cause irritation). Mia2 has, you guessed it, two speeds and the t-zone timer. It also has a really cool light that Kerry's you know what speed if is on and when it needs charging. You can also use it as a flashlight if your lights ever go out!! J/k on the last one!

My aesthetician says I have quite good skin for my age (47). But since I've been using the Mia2, it seems that my skin care products are working better. I know it's hard to believe, but it feels as though my skin care products are absorbing better. Every now and then I'd have a little breakout, but even those or happening less frequently.

The directs say to not use any product with exfoliating beads/shells (I believe that it would get into the mechanics and cause problems). I have continued to use my gentle drugstore cleanser and have been happy with it. It comes with a sample of the Clarisonic cleanser, but I figured switching to using the brush was a big change and it's not a good idea to switch multiple factors at once in case of a bad reaction.

Yes! You can use any face/body wash with the Mia2. Be careful when using cleansers/exfoliaters with beads as they may get stuck in the bristles of the brush.

When you are saying it is not charging, is it not showing a blinking LED light while plugged in? If not, check your outlet to ensure that power is being sent to the outlet. The Mia2 should be fully charged within 24 hours. Good Luck!

It should be charged by now; sounds faulty. Mine only took the recommended 24 hours. See if you can swap it out for a new model. It's worth it. Good luck!

I use low speed on the days that I stay at home or the days I don't go to the gym.
I definitely use high speed on the body.
I like two speeds because sometimes my skin screams for harsher clean and sometimes it wants a low key scrub.

I use the higher speed, I only used the lower one when I first got it as to not over strain my skin (I've also since switched to the deep cleansing head). I chose the Mia2 over the Mia for the timer mainly. I would over use the Clarisonic if it wasn't for the timer. That feature is well worth the upgrade!

The two speeds aren't necessary. I usually use the higher speed. However, the timer on the Mia2 is great, without it I would be irritating my skin from over washing.

Hi Rumessa. The Mia does not fit the body brush head. The plus is the only Clarisonic that will fit the size of the body brush head.
