i've bought this product twice, the first time it barely had a smell at all, it smelled like products without fragrance. the second time, it smelled a little chemical-y, but not terribly so. it's not enough to bother me and i like that it doesn't have a sweet or flowery smell.

It has a very slight scent but it is a fresh light scent. I am very sensitive to scents & I find this one pleasant & so light that I don't even notice or perhaps it just fades after I apply it.

There is very minimal scent to this product. I find the scent light and pleasant overall, not at all medicinal.

Question
Can I use it in the daytime?
Is it okay to use this product in the morning and does the application of sunscreen over it decrease its efficacy?

I was wondering if anyone has experience using it on acne prone skin?

Thanks!

this creams purpose is to brighten and exfoliate, if used in the day you definetly need sunscreen to protect. it will be less effective in the day besuace as you rest at night your skin works hard to repair itself making it more reseptive to this cream.

I think it depends on your skin which, as you well know, can change from day to day depending on the weather. I find this cream fast absorbing and non-oily so I would say yes to wearing it during the day.

I would only recommend it for nighttime because it is pretty heavy, but I also have oily skin, so I guess it depends on your skin type!

This is meant to be used at night because it's active ingredients work while you sleep, so you will have to use a 'daytime' moisturizer in the morning! :)

I use this on my whole face which includes the eye area. I use it sparingly because a little goes a long way. It makes my skin silky and smooth. It looks brighter too. It really is the cream for me. I spread the cream (which I do with anything I use on my face) first and then I patiently starting pressing it into my skin with my fingers all around my face. I find this makes a difference. I get compliments all the time and everyone asks what I use.

answer 5
I'm not super careful with it and I've never noticed any eye irritation, even around that outer corner. I still wouldn't get any closer to my eye area than I do with other creams. I'm not sure how close you're wondering about, but I'm thinking that it could go closer than the ends of your bottom eyelashes but still stay a little ways away from the actual lash line.

Question
Is it supposed to burn a slight bit?
I just used a sample of this and it makes my face burn a bit- almost as if it got sunburnt today. There is no rash or redness and it is not overly painful- but I am wondering it this is normal and may subside after a few more uses?

answer 3
If your face burns with anything you might put on it, then don't use it. Stop for a couple of days and try again. If it burns again then its not for you. However, if you're taking medications such as antibiotics it could be an adverse interaction or perhaps if you're using something such as Retin-A it could have an effect.

I found out about this product because it was reviewed by the Beauty Editor of a very popular and well-respected shopping/beauty/fashion magazine. The beauty editor mentioned that *yes* this product contains salicylic acid, which is one of the reasons why she found it to be so effective on her combo/acne-prone skin and why she recommended it as a great nighttime moisturizer for all of us girls with combo/oily/acne-prone skin. She gave this stuff a super rave review and I'm buying it today because her product recommendations have never let me down!! :)
