I didn't have good luck with the serum. I do use the overnight cream at night and the firming and toning during the day. I returned the serum because I thought I noticed it was starting to clog my pores.

I'm a big Algenist fan and I feel it doesn't require any serums so I don't use any. I don't know how, but possibly the combination somehow is drying your skin - Algenist is very hydrating for me. I use the eye gel and once used a serum and cream -- whoa - too much can be NOT good - so that may be the problem but I'm not sure - it's just a suggestion - try leaving the serum out.

I have oily skin and I find that sometimes it can dry out my skin. I've only been using this since summer, so fall/winter will tell me. Right now if my skin feels dry I'll alternate it with Cliniques liquid facial soap (only because I still have 1/2 a bottle).

Most new product will dry out the skin. In the beginning this dried my skin too, but I stuck with it and my skin has never looked better. The dryness went away and my skin looks very healthy.

I have an oily T-zone, but my cheeks are super dry. I haven't experienced a problem with my skin drying out from these products. Instead it has seemed to balance the PH of my skin. If you feel dry though, I would recommend trying another product or adding something to your current routine to increase moisture levels.

Only if its minimal eye makeup. I would think it would irritate if you just used it as an eye removal cream

I wouldn't count on this to remove my eye-make up - personally I remove it with eye-make up remover then wash with Algenist. Then again this would depend on how much eye make up you use, too and whether or not it's a very waterproof or water-resistant kind .... but if you're counting on a cleanser to remove most eye make up (mine are usually waterproof or resistant) then I would use Fresh's Soy Facial Cleanser. I was surprised at how much eye make-up came off one night when I was so tired I didn't care if I left my eye make up on - but that cleanser took it off.

Nope, it re-news the skin and doesn't have oils. It doesn't foam much and does not aggravate skin. For me I did have some acne but not much. This helps to get rid of skin blemishes and acne as well. It has witch hazel which keeps the skin clean and the alguronic acids help to promote cellular renewal.

This product does't mineral oil which can cause breakouts. Otherwise if you don't consistently wash your face day and night your skin will naturally purge but not because of the quality of the product but because your skin wants to release all the toxins in your pores.

I use this with my Clarosonic works just fine. Its a basic cleanser that helps to promote cellular growth which re-news the skin and supplies it with natural moisture. Great for oily skin, dry, sensitive, and normal.

Question
Does this get very foamy?

answer 2
The consistency of this cleanser is more like a lotion. If you want a foaming cleanser, this isn't it. That said, I've found over the years that the more foam cleansers have, the dryer they tended to leave my skin because the ingredient that makes them foamy is drying. I LOVE this cleanser--I have combination skin, and this cleanser removes all of my makeup and leaves me smooth and clean, without stripping my skin of the moisture it needs.

It foams just enough. You don't want it to be foamy that means it has a component that may dry out your skin. I like this since it foams a little bit for this product it is more natural.

Is this oil free?
I'm getting lash extensions and can only use oil free cleanser on my face. Does anyone know if this is oil free? I looked at the list of ingredients and didn't see anything that had the work "oil" in it but you never know.

As a lash extension wearer I can say that I have never had any direct problems with this product with my lashes. I would highly recommend to be light handed around the eye area with this product. As with any product do not get it into your eyes. As I did by accident lol. It was not fun. I hope this information helps fellow Sephora Beauty.

Can I use this before applying Retin A?

answer 1
Yes, you can use it with that of course. This is a cleanser so it won't matter what you put on after. Now if that Retin A is a wash as well. I would say no. The cleanser is very mild and it helps to renew the skin would be beneficial to get rid of old skin for the Retin A to be more effective. I would say get a Clarosonic device and use this cleanser then use the Retin A.
