Deer & Butterfly Eyelashes

Deer & Butterfly Eyelashes

What it is:A set of faux lashes made from a paper-cut pattern. What it does:Like jewelry for the eyes, PAPERSELF eyelashes are designed with intricate patterns inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting. Eyelashes blend an element of traditional culture with contemporary design. Each design has a symbolic meaning: Deer & Butterfly (free, beautiful, and sensitive), Peacock (auspicious and lucky days), Peach Blossoms (love is coming), and Under the Sea (secret treasure). The lashes can be cut and combined in various ways for different occasions. Accentuate the corners of your eyes with the smaller lashes for a subtle daytime look, or make a statement with the full lashes for a special occasion. PAPERSELF's innovative lashes have created a whole new concept of eyelashes in the market. What else you need to know: The big lashes can be used as full lashes for a bright party look; they can also be cut into small pieces to use for the corner of the eyes as daily accessories.

No, only the one set of lashes is included. Get the DUO clear drying lash glue (blue tube, not red) at Sephora for the teenie tiny price of $8 in the eye tools section (where they have lash curlers and such).

I used the DUO eyelash glue. It comes out in a big glob, so I put some on my finger tip and then carefully applied it to the very tiny edge of the Deer and Butterfly Eyelashes. The glue lasted all night and dries clear.

Hi Coco1girl,

These lashes do not come with glue, we suggest using the Duo Glue for false lashes. We hope this helps!

Question
How many times can you wear these?
They look beautiful, but I'm wondering if I would only get one or two chances to use them. I've never tried paper lashes, so any info about their durability would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think you could get much more than 3-4 times at best. They are really delicate and fragile. After all they are made from laser cut paper. You have to be really careful when you apply glue. Don't put too much on or the band will loose its shape. If you want to wear it for more than one time, also try to take the glue off gently and store them in the box that they came in.

I'm not a huge user of falsies, but these were extremely easy to put on and take off without any damage. I would say you could definitely use them a good sized amount of wears, in other words as long as you go without ripping them. The lash line is reinforced nicely so it stays strong for multiple uses.

I wore them once, but after taking them off they still look new, so I am guessing I can wear them about another 4 or 5 times

answer 6
So far I've used them 5 times for up to 8 hours, I even fell asleep for a couple of hours with them on! If you're careful with them, they can last you a few uses. Especially since you can cut them into small pieces just b/c you might like how a specific section looks more than the other.

Due to the delicacy of the lashes, you'll be able to wear them once. If I were you before I try those on, I would practice with a different pair of lashes so you would know what to do with the paper-cut pair. ;) Hope this helps!

I have worn my pair two times so far and hope to wear them again. I don't place them back into their packaging, I place them on another fake lash form that I had. They are very fragile and must be handled carefully.

According to the package, they are single-use lashes, but you might be able to squeeze more if you handle them very carefully.

If you look at the PAPERSELF brand page here on Sephora's website, the model shown has a full set of the Deer & Butterfly lashes. Also, if you received the Holiday Catalog that just came out, an additional photo is shown on how to use just a section of the lashes on the outer corner of the eye. Hope this is helpful!

I have the peacock lashes that I cut into a few different pieces. I like the small accent pieces better than the full lashes. It's a little more subtle.
