I'm fair and I love Diaphanous: I'm a 010 in Dior and 115 in MakeupForeverHD. It wears with no pink or yellow undertone, which can be hard to find in a fair powder.

It is actually quite sturdy. Has a magnetic grab to the compact. There is a silk cord that comes in the package and the star is wearable with that. I actually wore it to work today and it looks okay as an accessory.

Is this product translucent or intended to provide coverage of imperfections?

I am seeking a powder foundation that provides some coverage of my light freckles but is a long-wearing, matte finish. I have combination skin. The best I've found so far is MakeUpForEver's Duo Mat, but I'd like a little more coverage and longer wear.

(Disclaimer: I tested these out in store. Although I did not buy it, I did swatch it on the back of my hand and along my jawline.)

This powder gives very good coverage when applied with a sponge, and can be easily sheered out afterwards. Or if you apply it lightly with a brush, it can serve as a lightly tinted finishing powder. So IMO this serves as a good buildable coverage powder foundation.

If you're looking for a truly matte powder though, this is not it. The finish is described as "naturally radiant," and on my hand swatch I could see very, very, veeerry fine shimmer. On my face you can't see the individual shimmers, so it just read as softly glowy, but not in an unnatural way.
