When you first put it on it is sparkly. But that doesn't last. It does not look sparkly after a while.

answer 3
It has sparkles in it but once applied to your face there isn't any sparkles. The sparkles work with the powder ingredients to give you a very faint glow. I hate being sparkly and shiny, too, and this powder definitely won't do this to your face. ;-)

How does this compare to Makeup Forever's microfinishing power?
I like Makeup Forever's microfinishing powder, but like a true junkie, I am always looking for something better! Can anyone offer a comparision? Thanks!

MUFE mattifies and sets, this stuff does so much more. It makes you glowy and blurs your imperfections. I don't have problems with transfer and it helps me wear less foundation.

this is what I use over my tinted moisturizer or bb creams. I trade off( but mostly I use my origins vitazing spf 15) and this powder gives you such a soft focus beautiful finish.

MUFE has better makeup holding and oil control powder; this powder is better for those trying to achieve a luminous glow

Question
Would you use this to set foundation or tinted moisturizer?
I like to use CC cream or tinted moisturizer and set it with a powder for more coverage when I need it. However, I don't like the powder to give me a matte finish. Would this be appropriate for an all-over face application that wouldn't be too shiny or too matte?

Yes, this is great over tinted moisturizer. It sort of blurs any imperfections not covered by TM (or light foundation) and makes you look perfect and glowy.

It would not be matte. As the day progresses, it will look shiny but a healthy shine/dewy.

While this is NOT mattifying, I think it's oil absorbing. It makes my skin look dewy but I don't get any oily separation at the end of the day with this (like I have experienced with other finishing powders like Korres, Laura Mercier, Bare Minerals, etc.).

No, the product will not make you more oily. My skin is oily, and I use the powder every morning, and I swear by its benefit.

Hi elenagantukh, no, this product will not make you more oily. If anything, it will help absorb any excess oil.

Question
shade? comparison to meteorites?
I am a VERY pale asian that is definitely lighter than nc15. Will this powder add a darker hue to my skin tone? A lot of powders I tried always do, but that is not what I am looking for, especially in the winter. Also, how does this compare to Guerlain meteorites?

This is definitely not for the pale skinned gal! If you have a light or light to medium complexion, then this is for you. You should try their no color powder. The one that looks white. It goes on colorless. Won't change your face color or foundation color.

Even though there is a slight tint, I think any skin tones (up to NC35) can use this powder. This has MUCH better oil control than the meteorites -- which served absolutely no purpose for me.

YES, but you need to pat/press it in to your skin (don't buff, your results won't be as good). You'll think you're using too much, but don't worry--it won't cake. A powder puff works best, but it also applies well with the "right" brush (must be super soft with dense bristles, basically the brush equivalent of a puff).

Not sure of other comparison; this is the only finishing product that I use and it rocks. I follow the instructions with using the large powder puff that is included and fold it over once and then apply. I'll sometimes take a large sparse brush and go lightly over my nose and forehead just for shine control.

Question
Foundation Powde
Hi! I was just wondering if this would be okay to use over powder foundation? I use Laura Mercier mineral foundation powder for coverage in Rich Vanilla and to even my skin tone. Would this make it look too cakey since it is powder over powder... Just looking to add a little luminosity/ dewy and radiance to my look. Also since I am using Rich Vanilla and this is slightly tint would this be too much of the same color? Please Help... I am somewhat new to all these new types of make up and I am desperately trying to find something that would make me not look so matte with the powder foundation. and I have freckles I need to cover so up would this be enough coverage to cover it...thinking I can just use my BB cream and this for the daily make up and use the powder foundation when I go out... Thanks!!! Any suggestions would help...
