I think it's personal preference. I generally like to use a cleansing water, oil or balm to remove make-up and then an actual cleanser on my face to make sure everything is clean and ready for a moisturizer. On nights when I'm exhausted I've gotten away with simply using this to remove make-up and then fall asleep!

It says on the bottle that you do not need to wash it off after. It feels just like water and it absorbs quickly, so I would say you shouldn't bother with washing it off.

So, if I want to remove all of my makeup, I just hold it in the spot I want gone? Or do I put it on a spot on my face then spread everywhere?

I pour some of this product on a squared cotton pad and just gently swipe it all over my face. It has to be done at least a couple of times in order to get all the grime out.

I soak a cotton pad and hold that on my eye to dissolve the makeup but you can use a pad on your face to wipe it off as well. You really don't want to wipe that delicate eye skin. :)

answer 3
Don't just hold it in one spot. Use it like a toner-or more precisely like a makeup remover with like those cotton round things. Saturate the pad and then wipe a section of your face with it then flip the round to the other side and wipe another section. Repeat with all sections of your face using more cotton rounds and going back a couple more times over each section if necessary until there is no more makeup or residue on the cotton round.

You will have to wipe gently to remove the make-up. I generally hold a cotton pad with the cleansing water over an eyelid for a few seconds and then gently wipe.

Pour some on a cotton pad/ball. Wipe it around your face as you would a toner.

answer 6
That depends on how much makeup you're wearing and whether it's cream or liquid product i.e. how hard does the cleansing water have to work. For a typical removal job, I'll apply it to an organic cotton pad which I'll dab all over the face, pressing on for 2 seconds per area, then finish up by wiping all over with a second pad.

It doesn't work as fast but for me it removed all my makeup. Bi facil always felt a bit oily for me and the spa water left no residue whatsoever. I'd say give the travel size a try. You could always use it as a toner if it doesn't work out.

This product takes waterproof makeup and mascara off. It even takes off Sharpie markers from your skin without any irritation! Some waterproof mascaras really dry hard and the only one that took longer than usual in removing was Surge Lutens comb mascara for me.

This is a makeup remover that simultaneously tones your skin (though cleansing is its chief purpose). I have never used a cleanser that is this effective while still being gentle and balancing to my skin!

Question
Will it remove waterproof mascara?
My guess is that it won't.I sure wish I could find a gentle eye make up remover suitable for very sensitive, eczema prone skin that will also remove WP mascara. Anyone have any luck with this? Thank you!

This product sounds like something I would love to try, but I need to know if it easily removes waterproof mascara and concealer? I sweat a lot on my face so I always wear waterproof make-up. Does any one know??? Thanks!

I wear a lot of stage make-up, including waterproof mascara, and this product removes EVERYTHING - for mascara, I make sure the cotton has plenty of the water and I hold it over my eye - mascara and eye shadow will melt away. I use this product over my entire face until the cotton balls are clean - no need to wash. Overall, since using the Koh Gen Do line, I've had significant improvement in my skin - I highly recommend their products, well worth the price to have clear, healthy skin.

Wow I didn't know xylitol was proven to do that. And don't cats and dogs have food and other things that are poisonous or detrimental to them that aren't to humans? Not trying to be mean but that's just a fact. I am all for the environment and being safe about what I put in and on my body but there's just no such thing as absolute safety in this toxic world we live in...unless you grow and make everything yourself unfortunately.

xylitol is an artificial sweetener. Chocolate kills dogs too and you can eat that, right? Dogs do not work the same way as humans do. Xylitol isn't digested by bacteria the way sugars are so it won't degrade on your face. It's just another product and I don't know its function in this product, but just letting you know it's not harmful, either.
