Its for both. I usually remove my eye makeup first
then get a fresh cotton square and then do the rest
of my face. Its is AWESOME at removing eye makeup!!
I wear 8+ coats of 2 different mascaras and this takes
it right off. I will admit with that much mascara I do
have to soak my cotton square a bit more than I do
just for.my face, then I let it set on my lashes for a good
30+ seconds before wiping it off bit I've never had to
scrub to get the mascara off. I may have to wipe quite
a few times considering how much I have on but that's
to be expected. Then I get a fresh cotton square to clean
the rest of.my face. Then I apply my moisturizer and I'm done!
I also use it as a daily toner for when I'm not wearing
makeup. Its as good as doing a full wash on
your face. Leaves my skin so soft. Also I've not
lost one eyelash since I've started using this cleansing
water which is saying ALOT! I can also say I've got acne
prone skin and have not had one Breakout either since
using this product. I will.never use anything else! To
me.it is worth every penny to have the skin I have
now thanks to this cleansing water.

No additional cleanser is needed. That's
one of.my favorite aspects of this cleansing
water! Use it to remove your makeup or as a toner
and you are done! Put your moisturizer on as you
normally would as I do and I'm off to bed! Sometimes
even when I'm not wearing makeup if I don't feel like
dragging out my whole facial cleansing kit I'll just use
my cleansing water and moisturizer and I'm done for the day!

I think it's personal preference. I generally like to use a cleansing water, oil or balm to remove make-up and then an actual cleanser on my face to make sure everything is clean and ready for a moisturizer. On nights when I'm exhausted I've gotten away with simply using this to remove make-up and then fall asleep!

It says on the bottle that you do not need to wash it off after. It feels just like water and it absorbs quickly, so I would say you shouldn't bother with washing it off.

This will def. get off the waterproof mascara. I know it seems to good to be true because it's a water cleanser.

Sometimes I'll use a oil base cleanser to massage the hard to remove makeup and then I'll wipe it off with the cleansing water.

Yes, I have used both and find it to work just as well (or nearly as well) but has a more pleasant texture (no oily film). Plus Lancomb (owned by L'Oreal) does conduct animal testing while Koh Gen Do does not. I know not everyone considers this when making a purchase (I too bought and used Bifacil several times) but its another reason I go with Koh Gen Do now.

It doesn't work as fast but for me it removed all my makeup. Bi facil always felt a bit oily for me and the spa water left no residue whatsoever. I'd say give the travel size a try. You could always use it as a toner if it doesn't work out.

Yes you can use it as your cleanser at night. Depending on how much makeup you use, it could take quite a few cotton pads to remove everything!
At night: I generally use the Spa Water to remove my eye makeup, then I wash with a cleanser ( I use very simple cleansers, like Ivory Soap or Fresh Soy Wash) Sometimes at night I will follow my cleanser with this Spa Water to get off the last bits and it generally only takes one cotton pad.
In the morning: I use only the Spa Water with a cotton pad.
You can absolutley follow with any treatments you use after using the Spa Water. I use several products after using the Spa Water (Amore Pacific serums, Sunday Riley, etc..) So YES, you can use treatments after.

I've used it in place of washing my face...especially when I'm in a pinch. It does a great job cleaning up my skin but I haven't used it for a prolonged amount of time as a cleanser. I'd say it would do just fine though as long as your alternating washing your face every other time with a foaming cleanser.

I wear AT LEAST 8 coats of 2 different mascaras and
I've used this cleansing.water to remove my not.just my
makeup but also
all that mascara every day for the past 7+ months
(ever since I've found out about this product and
purchased it for the first time) and I've not lost one
lash yet. Matter of fact my lashes feel very conditioned
afterwards and that's saying a lot after all the other
products I've tried that had "promised" to leave my
lashes feeling conditioned and so did not. I'm 41 yrs
old and use to.lose a lash here and therejust because of
.my age and I can tell you since I've started using this I've
seriously not.lost one lash at all! I'm loving it!!! I use it
pretty much every day on my face whether I wear makeup
or not. Just a quick swipe. Even over my lashes. Hope this
has helped you sweetie! Have a wonderful day!!

Don't just hold it in one spot. Use it like a toner-or more precisely like a makeup remover with like those cotton round things. Saturate the pad and then wipe a section of your face with it then flip the round to the other side and wipe another section. Repeat with all sections of your face using more cotton rounds and going back a couple more times over each section if necessary until there is no more makeup or residue on the cotton round.

That depends on how much makeup you're wearing and whether it's cream or liquid product i.e. how hard does the cleansing water have to work. For a typical removal job, I'll apply it to an organic cotton pad which I'll dab all over the face, pressing on for 2 seconds per area, then finish up by wiping all over with a second pad.

Question
How to Remove Waterproof Mascara?
I soaked a cotton pad with the cleansing water and let it sit on my eye and lashes for more than 30 seconds. After I rubbed it off, I noticed it didn't take off all of the waterproof mascara. Am I doing something wrong, or do I have to repeat it a couple of times to remove all of the mascara? Being that this product is so expensive, I'm hesitant on using a lot of it every night just to simply get my mascara off. Help!
