Questions & Answers for ALTERNA Bamboo™ UV+ Color Protection Rehab Deep Hydration Masque

Question
Help with shine -- or just moisture?
I'm wondering if this product will do anything to add shine to my hair?? Also, how hydrating is it? It is less expensive than most hair masques so I am wondering what all it will do for my somewhat dry, color-treated hair? Thanks for any help!!!

I have color treated hair and I go tanning occasionally. It did nothing for my hair. My hair color (soft black) didn't last any longer, My hair was still dry and there was no shine. This did absolutely nothing.

Question
how often can you use it?
I wash my hair twice a week. It works well for my long and coloured hair. Could I just use this as my conditioner?

I use it 2 - 3 times (at most) as my conditioner and then follow with Pequi oil. It is the perfect combo for my long highlighted hair.

i would say yes because of the infrequency that you wash your hair but probably not otherwise. i can't guarantee your success because we probably have different hair types/conditions, but i would say that as long as you don't use too much, you should be fine! :)

Question
Do you use your regular daily conditioner on days that you use the UV+ Bamboo Deep Hydration Mask?
My hair is severely damaged due to color treatment and age. I LOVE the Caviar Shampoo and Conditioner, but I haven't tried the Bamboo Masque yet. I purchased the Bamboo Masque due to the many negative comments on the "pearls" in the Caviar Deep Conditioner. My question is should I still use my daily Caviar Conditioner on the days I use the deep conditioning Bamboo Masque? My guess is that I won't need it, but I'm curious as to what others have done.

Thanks!

My hair was looking and feeling extremely dry. I began last week using this in place of my old conditioner and leaving it on longer than three minutes. I love the results! I will continue to use this in place of my conditioner from now on.

I would use this after I used my regular conditioner. I always look at a masque as like a finishing touch.

I definitely recommend to used it.. it is a good treatment to protect and heal damaged hair.. I used it like two time a weed when I had very damaged hair, then only once a week.. to only protect your hair, used it once and the other days your regular conditioner.

Question
Sulfate-free?
This is really sulfate-free, right? I bought it because the web page mentions it includes no sulfates, but the packaging on the product does NOT include "sulfate-free." I did a keratin treatment on my hair and was told that any shampoos/conditioners with sulfates will strip the keratin out of my hair immediately.
