I think it depends on the type of serum, the amount you use, and the you would use it. This one is pretty light weight, and not overly greasy. I think I read somewhere that just it is still good to to moisturize even oily type skins, it is good to use oils on hair of even oily type. You might want to try something like this brand/product, but apply it only to the dry ends/protions, and avoid the scalp/roots. Hope this helps.

The serum is generally lightweight and should be used sparingly so I think it might work out fine for you!

answer 4
I would say that if your hair is not super fine, and you used a couple of drops (rubbed between your hands and applied to fly away hair/s), it would be the answer to your hair prayers. But if your hair is fine, be very careful as it can easily go from smooth to greasy-looking...

answer 5
Yes and no.....If you use it like directed on the bottle you will not get a heavier texture, but if you use to much you could get a little weight to it. Also if you seem to see that it is a little heavy try only using it once...not like before you dry and after.

answer 6
I have very fine, damaged hair that goes limp and flat with several other products I've tried. This does NOT do that to my hair! It just keeps the flyaways in check, adds a bit of sheen and gives it an overall healthier look. I'm really impressed with this and don't leave the house without first adding a bit to my breakage prone areas. You only need about three drops (my hair is about 5 inches past my shoulders) on your hands, rub it in and run through your problem areas. I've yet to accidentally put in "too much" (meaning it's so oily you can't do a thing with it!) like I have with others. I'd give it a try if I were you!

My hair is a very dark brown, almost black and since using Ojon oil on my hair I have not seen a difference in color.
All I have seen is more shine, and softness in my hair, as well as more manageability.

Question
Does this contain silicones?
I would like to see a full list of the ingredients so I can make an educated decision on if this product might be for me. I cannot use silicones in my hair, as I have very fragile, fine textured spiral curls and silicones/silicone derivatives block moisture absorbtion to the hair cuticle. If anyone can please let me know, and/or list the ingredients, i'd be very grateful. Thanks.

answer 2
my hair is fine, wavy, but I have alot of it. This makes my waves curl nicely and look amazing. when the rep was showing it to me in the store, she said they don't fill this with the 'cones' fillers, so it won't just coat your strands and then in a few months make them ultimately drier, and more damaged. The Ojon oil is supposed to penetrate the strand, and repair from the inside out.
If you are near a Sephora I highly suggest going in, ask the girls for a sample. The Ojon rep was handing them out the day I was there, but I know the staff can make little samples as well. You will probably love it, this is like holy grail to my hair! I didn't think my hair would be ok with an oil, but this is amazing.

No, it does not. That's why they replaced the last product (the one that worked) with this oil. I guess they got a bad rating on ewg.org. So, no it doesn't have silicone, but it also doesn't work either.

Question
Is this the same serum as before that was discontinued?
I cannot remember the exact name. It came with a pump, kinda had a smokey smell. You had to shake it to mix the little balls up.

No, this is a totally different product. I thought that one was a bit heavier, and the smell is different. This product has a very warm, earthy smell that I like, personally. It doesn't make my hair greasy and works wonders making it manageable when I blow-dry it. I would definitely reccomend it.

I've been hooked on Moroccan Oil since it was released and have several bottles of it but I have to say, I think I like this better, which really surprised me, as Moroccan Oil was sort of the "gold standard" against which I compared all the other hair products I use.

Yes. I used it on mine which is frequently colortreated and I was fine, although I use Manic Panic which is vegan dye (nondamaging) so I don't know about regular hair dye. It does not smell or feel heavy and chemical-y if that makes sense. So I think you're alright.

Question
Compared to alterna bamboo kendi oil dry mist?
It seems that the Alterna Bamboo Kendi Oil Dry Mist provides the same benefits as this product: great for fine hair, frizz fighter, weightless smoothing styling product, can be used on wet or dry hair, thermal heat protectant, enhances shine, and have reparative properties. Is there a difference between the two? Besides one being a serum and the other being a spray. Does one protect against heat styling better than the other ?

1-2 drops on the palm of your hand - rub hands together and move your hands over your hair like you would if using a flat iron. It will work through your entire hair. A little bit goes a long way. Works on dry or wet hair.

Use it on DRY hair only. If I were you I would only use a little bit on the hair (one or two drops) This product has a little bit of a bad scent to it. But its worth keeping. It gives you fast and beautiful results.

I put a few drops into wet hair then blow dry or let it air dry. I've also used it as a touch up, a tiny drop onto dry hair.

Always rub it into the palms of your hands first.

Curly Hair: after shower, while hair is still moist (not wet) put about seven drops in one hand and puting both hands together rub vigorouly to warm product slightly then throw your head forward letting hair hang down, run and scrunch through curls. I air-dry, but that's personal preference. During the day if you want to add a little shine when hair is completely dry you can add 3-4 drops by doing the same as above but scrunch gently, so as not to disturb curl. Remember you can use this product in combination with others you might be using; it's light and leaves no oily build-up.

This stuff works! I have thin-fine-flat asian hair & am always skeptical about using oils in my hair. I fell in love with this Ojon Serum the first time I used it. Packed with nutrients, my hair is at its healthiest. It never weighs my hair down. I now shampoo with volume shampoo, rinse and toweldry my hair, run some Ojon through my hair while its slightly damp, and brush my hair; then I'm done. My hair absorbs the nutrients without a oily weigh down effect. Healthy & lively. Love Ojon Serum!
