They go on very smooth, just like any other eye shadow but I just use very little of the darker colors so I don't look like a clown either! I also always use an eye shadow primer which really helps the shadow stick to my lids where I want it to be.

Hi,
You can build the pigment with these eyeshadows. If you want it to be sheer, apply less for the product.

The white is surprisingly sheer and is made up of mostly shimmer. The gray comes out as a fairly dark gray, a couple shades darker than it appears in the palette. The black is VERY TRUE and VERY DARK. If you are afraid of highly pigmented shadows, avoid the black. The peach color under the white is also mostly shimmer, there's not actually a lot of peach pigmentation to it. The gold comes out as more of a dark gold...it almost looks like a light brown. The brown, like the black, is very true and quite dark, but it's a lot less threatening than the black. To apply more of a sheer wash of color instead of a dense application, use a very fluffy eyeshadow brush and don't press very hard. You can leave it like that, or go over it again if you find it's too light.

You do have to use a lighter hand with these shadows because they are so soft, a lot will get on your brush if you press too hard. If you use a light touch, you will definitely NOT look like this <@:o)
