Questions & Answers for Smashbox Photo Op Eye Enhancing Palette - Hazel Eyes

Question
Eyes shift color--will this work for me?
I have the hardest time finding colors that will compliment my eyes. They change from a latte-colored brown to a mossy green/golden hazel...will these colors work with both of my eye colors? Or should I get the set for brown eyes?

I have both the brown and hazel smashbox palettes and I have hazel brown eyes. The hazel set brings out the green in my eyes, and the brown set makes my eyes look more brown. So far I am preferring the hazel set more, but I alternate based on my outfit.

My eyes change color too, similar to how you described. I love this set. I'm glad I went with it over the brown one.

I have a very similar eye color, and I got the Hazel palette because I had many of the shadow colors already in the Brown palette. I think either palette would work great for you depending on which color you want to enhance. The hazel palette will enhance the hazel-green color in your eyes and the brown palette will enhance the brown colors of your eyes.

I hace a similar problem. I never could find eyeshadow for my eyes because they keep changing! I was hesitant too, but I love this palette. You should get it for sure!

I think you should buy the one what your eye color is most of the time. If they swich equally maybe buy both over a extended period of time :)

What I did to try and test is swiped each color on a separate finger, then held the finger up to my eye to see how it made my eye either look washed out or pop. All of the colors made my eye pop out with the exception of that weird pink shade.

I think you have the exact eye color this palette would compliment. Mine are too green on the hazel side. But your brownish-hazel-gold eyes would look great with these. Use the plum as an eye liner (gray for a more dramatic look at night) and the pink/neutral tones on the lid. Or, the mossy green as an eyeliner for a different look.

I asked myself the same question and this palette has worked great for me so far. I get the most compliments when I use the sage (olive) or the majestic (purple) colors. The truth is that BOTH palettes work; but after discussing it with a Sephora rep I decided this palette had more interesting colors. (I actually already have shadows similar to those in the brown palette so this was a better buy for me).

I am more of a green/blue/brownish hue, I am in love with this. You can always return it if you aren't happy, they are usually great about this. My favorites on this are the fortune, and the majestic. I do believe that it is a good value though!

My eyes lean more towards green - but I think the gold tones would work well with hazel-blue too. I don't see how these colors would work on more brown eye colors.

If your eyes are more on the blue side I would get the blue eyed set. This set is definately for Green hazel. Not for blue.

Yes! I have brown eyes and the colors look good. If your eyes have green pigment in them the palette should look good to.

I think the top rows yellow/gold colors would probably work but I'd lean more toward the blue set if your eyes are more blue. Mine tend to read more green and I think these work better for the greener side of hazel.

If your eyes have a lot of golden green or brown flecks in your eyes you would like this set for hazel eyes. If your eye color is cooler toned I think you would prefer the set for blue eyes. You want to go for the opposite makeup tone of your eye color in order to make your eyes stand out.

Question
Same colors as in Smashbox's For your Hazel Eyes?!
A couple of years ago Smashbox had 3 sets for brown, blue and hazel eyes, ad the one for hazel eyes had very similar gold, sage, taupe pink and purple eyeshadows as well as two cream liners and an eyeliner brush. I was wondering if those 4 colors are the same as Fortune, sage, Pastel and Majestic in this set. Because if that's the case, only Fortune works well for me and this set is probably not worth it (my Sephora didn't have it in store to check).

I think this is a great value - the colors all seem to be of a size that I will end up throwing it out of "old age" (i.e. you should chuck eyeshadow every year or so to be safe) long before I use it up, even if I use it every day. Have to say tho - I tend to go for a "natural look" and I do not use a heavy hand with applying my colors. I also think it is a great set because you get two totally different looks that can both go from light and natural to dramatic just by adding a second "coat".
