Smashbox Halo Highlighting Wand

What it is: A precise click-through pen that delivers a pop of dewy, pearl or golden iridescence to leave skin looking lit-from-within. What it does: This easy-to-use liquid illuminator makes strobing easier. Its precise click-through pen delivers a wash of gorgeous pearl or golden radiance. Formulated to change the way light reflects off of the face, it accentuates your best features. To apply, just brush on a small amount of product with applicator and then gently blend in with fingertips. For a full-on strobing effect, highlight the bridge of your nose, the cupid’s bow, and the corners of the eyes and chin. What else you need to know: "Illuminating your skin is key because it can look flat in a photo with flash. You want to add some dimension to your face. Apply Halo Highlighting Wand to cheeks and browbones to highlight features and be sure to blend, blend, blend!"-Lori Taylor, Global Lead Pro Artist

Questions & Answers for Smashbox Halo Highlighting Wand

How does this compare to YSL's Touche Eclat?

Hi there, I have used and love both products. This product has a subtle shimmer, while Touché Éclat does not. This is sheer, shimmery, dewey while the YSL is matte, more of a traditional highlight finish (without being harsh or too opaque). Both are awesome, just provide different looks.

I have both products. They are both very different. The Yves Touch Éclat is good for under eye coverage which gives an I'm awake look and I don't have dark circles look. The Smash Box highlighter gives a glow to finish off a perfect face look, like above the cheekbone. I use both.

Close to Kitten?
I use the Kitten shade eyeshadow to do this (brows, cheekbones) and this looks like the same color except - quicker! Curious.

I use it to highlight cheeks brows down the bridge of the nose and contouring around the chin. Comes up beautifully no matter what foundation you use.

Hi nareeyy, either wand can work on fair skin! It's a matter of preference. Many fair clients find that Pearl gives a pink, lit-from-within glow.
