Question
How many of these come in a package?
It says "each set of 18 patches" in the description but that doesn't really make much sense to me.. unless they're including some extras in case you mess up..?

there are 18 individual patches. they give you extras in case you mess up or if the shape doesn't fit your nail bed. that is to say, it gives you options.

I think what the other answers and the Sephora online description meant to say was this:

8 x 2 = 16

There are [8] different sizes. There are [2] of each size. 8 multiplied by 2 equals [16] TOTAL "patches".

I think is what they meant?! Correct me ppl if i'm wrong...I think they give you different sizes (8 total sizes, instead of just 5)...so that it can fit a wider variety of nail sizes (from petite nails to big nails)

Yep, there are extras. I'm guessing some are to help you get the right sizes for your nails, but I wasted quite a few peeling them off the backing and not getting the whole patch. The edge stuck on several, so I used those on narrower nails, but I did ending up tossing a few.

They are made only for one application, it has 16 cause of all the different sizes so some you might not even use. And also if you mess one up you have a back up...it would have been perfect if there were 20 though!

I just received and open mine today, according to the description information packet that comes inside, ". . .2 strips of 8 adhesive nail stickers to fit all nail sizes". There are a total of 16 nail polish adhesives inside. Sephora's description online is misleading.

I think big toes might be a bit of a stretch, unless you have tiny feet and toenail beds. The other toes shouldn't be a problem at all.

I would say "almost". I really depends on how large your big toe is... the rest would be fine for sure. I would suggest getting a pattern that would look ok if you had to overlap them, then you could do the Big Toe with two patches and be just fine!

Yes, the largest one was just the right size for my big toe. I painted the rest of my toe nails a color to match the print.

I think they would. They include several sizes, and you could easily trim down for little toes with a cuticle stick.

You can put them on fake nails, however they will not last as long and might be less adhesive. It's best to buff your nails, remove excess oils with acetone and apply to a clean bare nail.

Question
Do I need to seal the remaning patches after using only a few?
I bought these today and just opened the package out of curiosity. I then noticed it said to seal it back up after opening. So I used the adhesive sticker to do so. When I do put these on my nails, I wasn't planning on doing all 10 fingers, just wanted to put on a finger or 2 at a time for a little "pop of fun" on my nails...Will the remaining dry out? Do you think that if I just taped up the bag each time that they won't dry out? I was hoping to be able to use all 16 pieces (and figured I'd get about 6-8 manicures out of that).

youve got exactly the right idea. if they do get a little dry, apply OVER a coat of clear while its wet. the wet polish wakes it back up enough to apply. clear over it helps, but unnecessary.

There's a little pouch inside with a silver metallic sticker - if you're going to keep a few for another time you should definitely put them back in there, fold over the edge, and seal it with the silver sticker. If you're going to be continuously opening and closing it, I would guess that a ziploc bag or another air-tight container would have the same effect! (Either that, or some tape in place of the metallic sticker!)

YES YES YES. they dry out very quickly and are NOT usable once they're dried out. i used only a few once and overnight, the rest in the pack dried out and were all flaky. they need a little moisture so if you do seal them, try to keep them sealed in an airtight bag.

they're pretty durable! the one thing that i've noticed with them is that if you use your hands a lot, they can get micro-cracks in them that aren't noticeable unless you look very closely at them. they last about a week-totally worth trying!

These are durable, add a clear top coat and they are super durable for at least a week. I work with my hands and had no scratches or chips for 1 week!

Question
What is the difference between these patch arts and the trend tips?
The trend tips are one step and are removed by polish remover. Are these the same? Or do they have to be peeled off to remove? Can I use clear polish over them to prolong wear like I can the tips?

To get these off you have to peel them off. I don't think you can use clear polish over top of them, but you can paint your nails any color you want and then stick these on. It will make your nails look amazing.

Technically you can take them off with remover, but I find that takes a long time and a lot of scrubbing. It is HORRIBLE for my nails, but I usually just peel them off.

Any of the ones that don't say "nail lacquer" are a lot stiffer and more difficult to work with. They are like the equivalent of putting a sticker on your nails and unless you're going to put a hard gel coat over the top, I wouldn't use them.

The foil paper is not of any significance. You do not need it for applying or removing the nails. You can just discard it.

Hope it helps.

There's a little foil strip at the end of every one. It's where you should hold the strip while you apply it to avoid the stickiness of it while you position it on your nail.

Nail patch are are more like nail polish stick ons. Nail blings are more raised it actually have gems or whatever you wanna call it are a lot harder to put on and don't stay as long. Trend tips are the same as nail patch but I think they are made by sephora/Opi .

The nail patch art includes little decals or gems that you can add to your overall nail job to give your nails a little more flare. Trend Tips are actual fun, nail stickers that you can apply to your whole nail, acting as a nail polish. The Nail Bling is like the Trend Tips, but instead of just a plain sticker, the Nail Bling has Bling on it (some kind of fun design with jewels and gems on it). The texture of the Nail Bling stickers is stronger and tougher than that of just the normal Trend Tips because of the Bling, which makes the application different.

french manicure
What is the possibility these could be made available in a french manicure. (I'm thinking you could calculate the approximate length of a female nailbed and then make the balance of the patch white... ) I think it would be wonderful, and save me soooo much time!!
