Nail Stencils

Nail Stencils

What it is:One sheet of nail stencils to create stenciled nail art effects. What it does:Use these adhesive stencils to apply stars, hearts, butterflies, snowflakes, and a dotted pattern to your nails. The sticker format makes it easy. Start by applying a base nail color and letting it dry. Then apply a stencil to each and fill it in with another nail polish or Nail Art Pens from Sephora by OPI. Then peel off the stencils and finish with a top coat. What else you need to know:"Nails are the hottest new art form," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Executive V.P. and Artistic Director of OPI. "Now, Sephora by OPI makes individualized nail art available to everyone."

I've only used one stencil so far. Because they are adhesive backed, I guess it could be possible to reuse if handled very, very delicately. However, the stencils are just paper, and I found when I removed the one used from my finger, the shape of the design got distorted and the adhesive backing was diminished. As a result, I no longer found it suitable for reuse. But, that's just my opinion!

Technically, these are re-usable, but I have yet to be successful in doing so. They tend to rip my nail polish off, rendering them hardly usable at all.

I don't feel they are reusable. They are too sticky and the shape is ruined after you peel it off the first time.

Not really. The stencil sticks to your nail (way too sticky-leaves the sticky/glue residue behind) really well but doesn't re-stick to the original packaging paper. I tried using nail polish remover on one just to see and it started to take the silver color off. I would recommend just making your own stencils (can't believe I've never thought of that before!!)
