Lush Lash Mascara

Lush Lash Mascara

What it is:A thickening and lengthening mascara formulated to help lashes actually grow longer. What it does:This nourishing, thickening, and lengthening mascara is infused with peptides and moisturizing panthenol that allows your lashes to grow for a longer period of time. Its formula builds and beautifies so your lashes will grow longer and fuller over time. Used in conjunction with Urban Decay's Lush Lash System (Growth Accelerating Serum and Conditioning Mask), it provides additional lash nourishment. This very enduring formula is not technically waterproof, but there was zero smudging or running after road-testing it in a hot yoga class. The outer component features a lush swirl motif, and the large hourglass-shaped brush provides generous mascara distribution. It's the ideal mascara for anyone who suffers from brittle, fragile lashes, as well as those with great lashes who want to build and strengthen them even more.

Questions & Answers for Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara

Question
Clumpy?!
I am trying to debate weither or not to purchase this mascara. I saw this on a beauty guru's haul video and she said she really enjoyed it (but didn't say if it was clumpy or not). I am someone who uses drugstore mascara and I thought it would be fun to try a high-end mascara! I absolutely HATE clumpy mascara! If you could tell me if it is clumpy or not that would be great! If it is clumpy could you please recommend a different high-end mascara! Thank you so much!

Additional info: I am have naturally really long and voluminous lashes, so the growing factor doesn't really matter (just and added bonus :D ).

It's not clumpy at all but not the smoothest one I've ever used... It's just the BEST MASCARA EVER. Defines lashes really nicely
Maybe the smoothest mascara I've ever used is Benefit- they're real. But LushLash outshines it in every other way (and it's cheaper!) and having used both mascaras and many others besides I'd say the best most awesomest one is this one.
Hope I helped! :)

I too was worried that this mascara would be clumpy but I have not have ANY problems whatsoever with clumping or flaking or anything. I rarely apply two coats of mascara but with this one, even when I do apply two coats there is no clumping at all. Even if I top off with another brand mascara it does not clump which I sometimes do because I like to top it off with waterproof mascara- I don't know why but it makes me feel better. :)

Question
Curl?
I have straight hard to curl lashes. I must use a lash curler and have only found certain mascaras to hold my curl (iconic and nars). Every other mascara makes my lashes go flat (bad gal, BE, diorshow). My question is after curling my lashes will this mascara hold the curl or make them go flat?

I have very straight lashes as well. I have been impressed by the fact that this mascara doesn't take the curl out. The formula seems very light, so it won't weigh your lashes down. I use 2 coats on each eye and the curl stays all day.

I found it holds a curl better than a lot of mascaras, also because it is a very conditioning mascara, you can curl lashes after applying as well and it doesnt damage them!

Hope this helps...my lashes, too, are hard to keep curled and they do stayed reasonably curled with this mascara. From your question, I feel like your lashes may be more difficult to curl than mine, but I cannot use mascara's that are too wet because they cause my lashes to flatten out. I just recently tried benefit "they're real" and really liked it when I first started using it, but felt it dried up too quickly. This one seems to be a good balance thus far!

I have very straight lashes that actually seem to grow downward. I used to use a lash curler and eventually gave up and just ignored my straight lashes as my main concern was volume. I have very thin-barely there-lashes and decided to try this for that reason. However after using it I noticed that my lashes also curled upwards opening my eyes in a whole new way AND it lasts all day long, at least for me.

I have the same problem but I have found a way to keep them nice and flirty all day. First warm ur curler in the palms of ur hand until they are nice and warm. Then start curling at the base of ur lashes sometimes holding the curler there for up to 10-15 seconds. Then curl all the way out to the tip of ur lashes gently being careful not to leave any crimp lines. You can repeat the process until ur lashes are an exaggerated curl. Then apply the UD Lush Lash mascara making sure u start at the base and work ur way to the tips. This will help keep them curled all day long

Yes, it does. You need to use it daily and make sure you get the brush all the way to the base of your lashes, wiggle and pull through, it definitely made my lashes longer in the few months I have been using it, just be faithful to it, if you don't take the time to get this mascara to the roots of your lashes it wont work, so just apply it correctly and the results are amazing :)

I have had mine since May, I use it like every day and since yesterday I feel it's getting empty, so that's why I'm here at this site to buy a new one. Your eyelashes actually grow from this mascara, so you perceive that you don't need that much mascara to make your lashes lengthenend and volumized.

answer 3
It is usually a good idea to toss eye products like mascara a year after they are opened. Some say six months...others less. If you properly close and store your mascara it should last quite awhile. Also, NEVER share your eye products with others. That could lead to eye infections and taint your other eye products if you touch up throughout the day.

I am curious about this as well. I asked the girls at the Sephora in WPB and she said that they were out and it was not on their reorder form leading her to suspect that it maybe discontinued. I have gone to several Sephora stores now and was only able to find it at a store 3 hours away and they only had 6 left. I am actually going to check another makeup store locally. Question
Does this have long lasting affects?
I'm looking for a mascara that's going to improve my lash health, volumize, lengthen, thicken, and promote lash health and growth even after I wash it off. Is this what I'm looking for? I used to use Dior Show Mascara primer, which had a GREAT effect on my lashes, it made them look thick and healthy, but it's too expensive. Do the results promised by this mascara wash off when you wash off the makeup, or are they lasting? With regular use will I see more lashes, thicker, longer, healthier lashes? Or will it just be the same as any other mascara?

Thank you!

I just wrote this review, I love this mascara and yes it works over time to improve. ~SHE /// have finally found a mascara that I like for simple daily use. A quick coat is perfect for day wear, with the added bonus of having a lash serum built-in. Once dry, my lashes are supple, never brittle and have not been plagued with the old "top lashes sometimes annoyingly sticking to lower lashes" syndrome. If you want a dressier look, add another coat or two. This is not a va-va-voom type of mascara, but just a great, healthy daily choice that looks good and has visibly improved the condition of my lashes. That said, the reason I only gave it 4 of 5 stars is the wand applicator, I'm not a great fan. Not horrible, but not exactly what I personally want. The other issue is smudginess. I only like mascaras that wash off simply, or reasonably simply. This often smudges when I sneeze, but wants to linger when I wash my face. Otherwise, a nearly perfect mascara for office/daily, and a I can always hope for the tiniest of improvements! ~SHE
