Remember, this is a tinted moisturizer, not a foundation. It does have a luminizing quality, covering freckles and slight spotting, redness or capiliaries. I love the translucent, but my sample was Medium. I just used it anyway, and it was so blendable, it didn't look fake or feel heavy. You could try the Medium in in areas where you think you need it, with Light in other areas (around eyes, neckline), as it really is so smooth when used and can be reapplied to provide more coverage

My complexion is medium and I purchased medium in the Skin Transformer and it's an ideal match.

I'm typically a "light" in most product, but I found that "Light" in Miracle Skin is a bit too light (not by much). However once I apply Smashbox Halo in "Light", it works perfectly.

I think the product is meant to be sheer. I am olive skinned (yellow undertones, but still very fair, the medium is a good match for me. If you consider yourself to be relatively fair-skinned, I wouldn't go any darker. Just use a cover-up on top of this product in trouble areas only or reapply more product where you thinkk you need extra coverage.

Yeah i did the same. Get one or even two shades darker than you think you are. Its so thin it will still look natural.
