It depend on a couple of things. If you're kind of a novice, or are just looking for something very basic, and you're wanting to save space, then yes, go for it. Otherwise, I think you can find better deals elsewhere for a normal or travel brush kit.

How would u CLEAN these makeup brushes? How to care/maintain the bristles?

Also, what are the bristles made out of? Are all 4 of the "brush tips" made of the SAME type of bristles?

I use the Sephora daily brush cleaner stuff.
I know that one of them is a sponge, but i'm not sure on the rest of them. they're pretty soft though.
I'd compare the feeling of them to.....maybe a drug store travel kit?

All the application tools are not brushes, one is like a sponge you would find in a cheaper eye shadow. I clean the brushes with bare minerals brush conditioning shampoo. Now and then the magnification that holds the tools together doesn't stay together.

I would clean it with a make up brush cleaner and dry it upside down using a brush guard. All 4 of the "brush tips" seem to be made out of the same type of rough bristles. No clue what type of bristles they are. Not sure if these are new. I saw these since Aug 2011

Hello,
I am here to answer your questions. I own the product and the hair on the brushes seems to be the same type of hair but the type of brushes on the wand are different so one might be fluffy and the other might be stiffer but carry out in an exellent preformance. To clean the brushes you can just use any type of make up remover lightly and rub it off on it but dont pull on the bristles if you love the brush other wise it will be ruined. Hope I helped.

No. The product is basically four mini-brushes that connect to each other. They're like http://mbapromo.com/fotos/frontends/default/produtos/ig_0_mk3138.jpg these pencils in that one mini brush goes behind the other and you have to switch the brushes out to reach the next one.

its as if they took the end of four different brushes, cut 80% of the handles off, and attached magnets to the end. when the four "tips" are connected, it makes one large brush (with a cap, which is an added bonus). if you want to change the tip, you just rearrange the order the tips are in, or simply remove the one you want to use from the wand and reattach it when you are done. its kind of like how you can take a bunch of markers and connect them from end to end. hope this helps!

I own the product so if you have any doubt just trust me. :D The wand is magneticly held so there are 4 segments that you can pull that will show the brush you can use. Its one wand of brushes a girls best friend, hope I helped have a nice day.

Why does it say "$12" on my tag? (online order)
1-2-2012

Why does it say "$12" on my tag? (online order)

I want to know if anybody else's tag also showed $12???
No, it's not the Canadian price. The canadian price cost more than $12 (according to the tag). I bought this from the sephora website.

Brush Wand - Item # 1340496

There's 3 prices for this item:
$30 = the site claims this value
$10 = the price online
$12 = the price on the tag

I noticed the pricing discrepancies too. Personally, I believe that $30 is the marked up price that Sephora would like us to believe the item is worth. $12 is probably the standard retail price that they ask for, and $10 is either the online price or some kind of promotional price. It is definitely worth $10-$12. $30? No way.

Q: I don't want to buy any natural hair bristle brushes, but this is pretty neat for in-a-pickle situations. I figured I'd through this in my school bag in case I want to change up my eye look for afterschool activities.

A: Yes, the bristles are synthetic, and of good quality. The liner brush is a tad thick, but if you wear heavy eyeliner it's fine. It's the perfect brush to throw in a school bag, as there's a cap on the end of it to protect the bristles from anything else in the bag. At least, that's how I use it! ;D

The quality is surprisingly nice, better than I expected for $10. I like Sephora's brushes, and I'd say that the smudge, liner, and crease brushes are on par with the rest of their implements (if not better). The don't shed and they hold their shape after washing. The only one I don't love is the sponge brush--it reminds me of those cheap applicators that come with palettes. I'm not sure what the materials are, but the quality of the brushes, the plastic, and the magnets is top-notch.
