Questions & Answers for Perfekt Matte Body Perfection Gel

Question
3 oz. for $48??! Better than Lorac TANtilizer?
Wow, $48 seems quite steep for such a small size! About how many uses on the legs or legs & arms could you get from one tube? Lorac's Tantilizer at $32 for 5.7 oz seems like a better buy since I only have to use a small amount each time. Is this worth the price? Thanks! =)

It is definitely worth the price because a little goes a long way and really makes your skin look beautiful, radiant, and tan! Depending on how you use it and how often it can last 1 month or it can last 3. Personally, i have had mine for around 2 and a half months and still have a good amount left! I have not tried tantilizer, but after trying this i will not use anything else! best of luck to you!

If you like a lot of shimmer, go with Lorac. If you want a more realistic, matte finish, go for Perfekt

It is a nice product, but you need to build color over time so you would need more than one tube, too expensive!

I have tried and love Lorac tantalizer and you are right for the price you get much more, but the color is more reddish brown than tan brown. The difference is with tantalizer it is very shiny and sparkly and rubs off on everything! It also is not water resistant. SO, if you want a something that gives you an honestly perfect tan get the Exotic color of this stuff. It is the darkest shade they have, but the golden was also very nice too! You can wear it in the pool or beach and it wont rub off on anything not to mention it makes you super soft and covers imperfections. Its very buildable, and has no scent. Its worth the money trust me!

I think it's totally worth the price. I had the same hesitation with the price, but the quality of the product, including the color is really nice! I've used mine for several weeks now and still have some left. I even noticed that after showering there was still color on my skin. I didn't feel the need to apply every day, but every other day to keep up my tan :-)

Once this has dried on your skin, can you use a sunscreen over top? Like a spray on sunscreen?
I would like to know if adding a spray on sunscreen overtop would take the effectiveness away.

I think a spray-on would be ok, but rubbing lotion over it may make it lighter and/or streak.

No! Much better than self tanner. Effectively blends to create camo for the sun spots. The only thing I've found like it ever. Best stuff for sun spot cover. Almost like foundation.

In my experience it actually diminishes the dark spots...I used it on my hands, where I have some sun spots, and they appeared much less noticeable with PERFEKT. Might be good to try out a sample at Sephora - to test a small area so you can decide for yourself...good luck hope this helps :)

No. It made my skin more even and did not accentuate any spots. It will probably make them less noticeable.

No, not at all on me. It's more of a cover-up type product. I love it. It imparts such a smooth look to skin. I have used self-tanners that do darken spots and after a while it looks ridiculous. Not this one. The finish is gorgeous.

Question
Does it turn orange on fair skin?
I'm not the palest but I am fair-skinned. Has anyone with fair skin tried this? I'm curious to know if it really adjusts to the fair skin tones without being orange or too dark compared to the starting skin color.
Thanks!

I am fair skinned and this stuff is the first thing I have ever used that has not gone orange or blotchy. I am now in my 60s, so I have had to wait a long time to finally have nice looking summer legs!!

NOT AT ALL!! It is such a natural color that no one can tell you have a product on. I start light then add layers to build color. No streaking and the color rubs in smooth.

answer 2
Absolutely! I find what works best is if you squeeze a little in the palm of your hand, add your regular facial moisturizer, and blend it with a foundation brush and apply! You will have to experiment with the gel-to-moisturizer ratio so play around with it and don't give up if you don't get it just right the first time!

It will definitely help hide them, however, it doesn't cover completely. It creates a nice camoflauge, though. I highly recommend it.

No, it does not hide imperfections, but much like self-tanner, it washes them out a little and blends them into the skin more. I wouldn't say it's enough to hide spider veins though.

It will eventually come off in the water, depending on how long you are in it. However, it comes off evenly, not splotchy or streaky. Good stuff.

No, it won't. It's actually difficult to get off, really. Strangely, it sticks to my skin almost like a stain would, with an almost water-proof kind of effect. After a few days (and showers, mainly) it just fades, naturally. Then I reapply.

I've never had it rub off on sheets, either. Sometimes I'll notice a little residue on my bra straps, but that's it. I'm a huge fake-tanner, too, and I'll never go back -- this is WAY better, and doesn't smell strange!

Hi Erinmalang,

According to the brand:

The mousse-like texture applies evenly and is transfer-resistant, water-resistant, and sweat-resistant.

If you use a body scrub it will come off, but if you wash gently it will last 2-3 days, gradually fading.

Both. It is more like a bronzer than a self-tanner if you are accustomed to the traditional smelly self-tanners. I prefer this over any bronzer OR self-tanner I've ever used because it makes your skin look so silky! I am 51 years old so I don't have extremely youthful skin; what it does to my legs is no less than magical!

I just recived my bottle in the mail. When i squeeze the tube chunks of product come out. I kind of have to form the "gel" together in my hands before i apply it. I really like the product but is it suposed to be like this or should i return it to get a new bottle? HELP!

I lightly spread the stuff in my hands, pat it over my legs, then spread and massage it in until it looks even all over. It is not really a gel. It comes out like dryish brown toothpaste! After covering my legs I wash my hands thoroughly twice to get rid of the stain on my palms and fingers.

Mine was like this as well.... almost "clay" like in texture. I don't bother blending it in my hand before applying because it wastes the product. Simply put it on your legs, arms, chest, wherever.... and blend, just do it quickly :)
