I have read that some people have that problem, but I have not. I'm not sure what technique they are using to blow dry their hair after applying it. I use a large round brush, which I think helps separate the hairs, and keeps anything from getting sticky.

Not sticky. Spray on lightly damp, clean hair, and blow dry as usual. It will leave your hair volumized but CLEAN. That's what I like best about this product. Two thumbs up!

answer 8
It can definately be sticky if you use too much. Don't go by the instructions which say to spray a liberal amount on your hair. Use the product more sparingly and it will work wonders. For example: I have long thin hair down to my shoulder blades. I use only 5 squirts of product, 2 on the front/crown area and 3 in the back. When I tried using more than that my hair was too sticky to even get a brush through.

fragrance free? migraine concerns
A lot of hair products give me migraine/skin problems. Just curious if this is an unscented product, and if it is considered hypo allergenic?

Yes, there is definitely a smell. It's not overwhelmingly perfumey, but this product does have a smell. I would NOT describe it as "clean" or "light." It is a little bit medicinal.

I have problems in the grocery store in the cleaning products aisle, and can't wear most perfumes, scented soap, etc. I've been using this product for years have never had a problem. I just sprayed and sniffed it does have a scent, very lite and clean, honestly never noticed it was scented but wanted to double check before I wrote this. If you can tolerate lines like Clean and Philosophy, two scents I can wear this should be OK. If the scent lingered or stayed in my hair I'd have noticed it I can smell things no one else can. This product is so great I'd give it a try!

Yes, you put this in damp hair, after you shower. You then blow it out, and style accordingly.

answer 2
Yes, I usually blowdry my hair about 80% and then spray into the roots. That way it wards against making my hair sticky and crusty. If used when hair is wet it can be brushed out when dry, but that seems to take away a bit of the volume.

I use this product on towel dried hair, and use either my flat iron if i want fuller straight hair, or scrunch it with a diffuser, for fuller volume loose hair. I've used many products that claim to volumize, but this one by far is one of the best. Concentrate on the roots and spritz lightly through the rest works amazingly well. Hope this helps with your question!

You can use on both. I tend to dry my hair about 80% and then spray this on. The product tends to make my hair a bit crusty if I spray this right before blowdrying.

answer 6
You spray this at the roots as well as overall ... applying it to damp hair. I have applied it at the beginning if it's been up in a towel and not overly wet or dry it a little and then apply it to your hair. But no, this is not designed to apply to dry hair. This is a styling product and in no way a holding or hairspray type product.

Yes, this is like a hair spray, but as the product says, it is more of a volumizer. It doesn't work like the traditional hair spray in that it doesn't "hold shape", instead it leaves your hair bouncy with volume. And unlike the traditional hair sprays, it is not sticky.
