No. Contouring powders and bronzes are very different. Bronzes are more warm and orange and contour powders are more ash colored to look like shadows

Absolutely. If youre like me (light-medium NC20-25) and find that all the bronzers out there tend to be way too harsh, orangey or red to be used for contouring then this one is THE one. I only use bronzers to contour because Ive got inexistant cheekbones and the hoola bronzer definitely helps me to achieve a more defined face!

Yes, this makes a wonderful contouring powder. I myself have fair skin, brown eyes and brown hair. I use it on my forehead, and to contour my cheeks. I even use it as blush and it looks fabulous! As always, technique is of paramount importance so the contouring looks real, not like your face has a lot of dirty spots.

Yes! I have very sensitive Acne prone skin and have been using this product for years but unfortunately figured out that its a big source of breakouts for me :(. Love the product but I'll only be using it as an eyeshadow from now on. I found a pretty comparable dupe from the drugstore that works for me though. It's NYC "sunny"

YES! I have extremely sensitive skin, and this product definitely breaks me out. I know it is this product because my acne is always active when i use it, and only where apply the bronzer. It could just be my skin, since NARS blush also makes me break out. However, I would consider it to be comedogenic.

Yes, Hoola is a matte bronzer without any orange-y tinge. The pigment isn't too intense and the color is fairly light so I would only recommend this for someone with fair skin. I often use this in place of blush when I want a clean makeup look. Some bronzers can just look like brown blush, however this is not one of those.

Depends on just how dark you are and what you want from the product. Do you want to use it as a bronzer or contour powder? If a bronzer I'd say it's worth a try, I'm olive toned medium and this is too dark as a bronzer for me but perfect as contour, so if you are darker than me it might work for you. Which also means it may not be dark enough to serve as a good contour. I'd say your best bet is trying it in the store.

Your question is a little confusing. What exactly are you interested in finding out...why it doesn't have a lid or its expiration date? If the expiration date is approaching then that is something I would take up with Customer Service and get a replacement with a longer expiration date. But as for powders, they can last up to two years, with the exception of organic and/or powders with water derivatives, so if you just opened it and it hasn't been used, it should be fine.

You would be fine! I go from light-medium in the fall and winter to tan, almost deep in the summer depending on if I go to the beach multiple times or not, and no matter what time of year, it still isn't orangey! However, I use very little and use the brush just to contour and accentuate my bone structure in the winter so it doesn't look over done! That way if you add a natural/corally blush to the mix, it gives you a very good glow!

I too have fair, freckly skin and slightly tan after I have been in the sun a while. Hoola is my favorite bronzer right now. It is not orange-y at all to me and does not contain shimmer so I can contour and use on my neck to add natural looking color. And I like the brush that comes with it. My other favorite bronzer is the light shade by Bobbi Brown.

I would recommend checking out Illamasqua's cream pigment in "Hollow" instead. It's brilliant on fair skins.

I didn't purchase this bronzer for years because I thought it was overhyped. Ever since I got it, I have loved it. Best bronzer I have and it has made me love bronzing more than ever before. Because of this bronzer, I bought their other boxed powder products and I highly recommend the Rockateur and Dallas blushes.

I love how they turn out but you get a really tiny box for almost $30 which is kind of disappointing. But most people think it is worth the money. They are amazing bronzers though.

I like Hoola a lot for a natural contour powder. It doesn't have a hint of orange and it applies evenly on moisturized skin. I wear it daily and use Dandelion for blush. I'm almost to the bottom of the box so you know I must really like it.

Buy For Sure! This is wonderful for any skin type and a great contour shade for lighter skin tones. I own most of the boxed powders and they are all great. They have a light fresh scent (but you cant smell it on your face), last FOREVER, and do a great job of adding something extra to your look! Happy Shopping!
