Is this matte or is there shimmer in it?
I was wondering if this was matte or shimmery. I would prefer matte but if there isn't too much shimmer then it's fine. Thanks!

Yes, Hoola is a matte bronzer without any orange-y tinge. The pigment isn't too intense and the color is fairly light so I would only recommend this for someone with fair skin. I often use this in place of blush when I want a clean makeup look. Some bronzers can just look like brown blush, however this is not one of those.

I would recommend this product as more of an "all over" powder, instead of using it to contour. I don't think the color is dense enough to contour.

Yes, this makes a wonderful contouring powder. I myself have fair skin, brown eyes and brown hair. I use it on my forehead, and to contour my cheeks. I even use it as blush and it looks fabulous! As always, technique is of paramount importance so the contouring looks real, not like your face has a lot of dirty spots.

YES! I have extremely sensitive skin, and this product definitely breaks me out. I know it is this product because my acne is always active when i use it, and only where apply the bronzer. It could just be my skin, since NARS blush also makes me break out. However, I would consider it to be comedogenic.

Depends on just how dark you are and what you want from the product. Do you want to use it as a bronzer or contour powder? If a bronzer I'd say it's worth a try, I'm olive toned medium and this is too dark as a bronzer for me but perfect as contour, so if you are darker than me it might work for you. Which also means it may not be dark enough to serve as a good contour. I'd say your best bet is trying it in the store.

It's not a good bronzer for dark complexion. It may look good on fair (if used lightly), medium, and medium tan complexions. On dark complexion it wouldn't do much in terms of bronzing or contouring.

Question
Early Expiration??? ;(
So today I got my Hoola in the mail. I ordered from sephora. The products looks amazing and doesn't have the lid attached to it. But I looked it up on the internet and it said 1 month before it expires and I just got it today!! I thought Hoola lasted as long as a year cuz so many girls say thats how long it lasts. I'm so confused! -_-

It's a powder so I don't really think it matters when it expires, within reason. I think when people say it lasts a long time it means you can use it for months before it runs out and you have to buy more.

Definately doesn't expire in a month bc its a powder product. If you look on the packaging and see a picture of a little container with the lid taken off and a number written inside, that's how many months you have until it expires. Enjoy the product (Its my favorite)

I'd return that- if the lid is missing, there was some issue with the product. It won't "expire"- the powder is going to be good for a long time.

Your question is a little confusing. What exactly are you interested in finding out...why it doesn't have a lid or its expiration date? If the expiration date is approaching then that is something I would take up with Customer Service and get a replacement with a longer expiration date. But as for powders, they can last up to two years, with the exception of organic and/or powders with water derivatives, so if you just opened it and it hasn't been used, it should be fine.

Too faced has a red undertone where as Benefit hoola is more neutral. But I exchanged the benefit one with Too faced one because hoola is too small to fit in my brush and the mirror is just so small. they can both be used as contour though. but if you're pale then go with benefit because its more of a brownish neutral

I just left a review comparing the two. IMO - Hoola is much better. This is based on me only testing the Choc Soleil in the store and not actually using it long term. But that was enough for me to say I didn't like Choc Soleil compared to Hoola. Hoola is much softer, finer milled powder and I like the shade of it better as well compared to the other one.
