yes it is. I was wondering the same thing so I emailed phyto directly and they told me that all their products are color safe except for any containing essential oils.

I have permed hair and it doesn't affect that at all. Very hydrating and gentle.

Can't speak for others but I tried the sample on my colored hair and it seems to enhance the color, probably because it is hydrating. Thinking about making a purchase though it is quite pricey for shampoo.

I have color treated hair and my colorist recommended this shampoo. It helps you maintain your color and provides moisture, as coloring can make your hair dry. I've been a happy user for about a year!

Question
Is this safe to use on fine hair?
It says it's for "dry, medium-to-coarse hair." Would it be okay to use if you have somewhat fine hair? Does anyone with fine hair use this shampoo?

Absolutely. My hair is old, dry, processed (straightened and colored), frizzy and fine and this shampoo has transformed my hair. It is in the best shape of my life now. This stuff is awesome.

I have thick (or a lot of) fine curly hair. I don't have red hair, I have brown but I have Irish descent. I found this product drying. It contains Sodium Chloride and citric acid which are known to be drying. My curls turned to frizz after one use. I also have color treated hair. Perhaps that is why.

I got this shampoo as a sample and LOVE it, my hair is fine, colour treated (forever!) and I have an oily scalp. I have to say this shampoo gives volume to my hair, is gentle and I can't say that my hair became more oily since I used it, rather the opposite, I think it balanced out the oil production on my scalp. The colour really comes out and my hair is very shiny, which I love!

I don't understand why the description recommends using this on dry or coarse hair. I recently tried this on my fine hair and did not find it to be very hydrating at all.

My head of hair is thick but each strand is very fine. SO - I would say YES it works great on fine hair. Does not weigh down my hair at all.

I have fine, color-treated hair and this shampoo works GREAT for me. If your hair is dry or color treated, I would absolutely recommend it. It's very mild but very nourishing.

My hair is thick and down to the middle of my back and I only need one teaspoonful per shampoo. It last me a pretty long time; washing every other day between 6 weeks to 2 months.

I only shampoo 2-3 times per week so my bottle is going to last a while. However, if you shampoo frequently it will go fast because the bottle is very small.

Question
Is there any attachable pump for this product?
I have another shampoo by this brand and have wasted so much of the product pouring it into my hand (especially since it drips off pretty quickly) since there is no pump or dispense attachment. Is there anything I can purchase from Sephora to remedy this situation?

I actually prefer the fact that there's no pump to get clogged or not work at all and I love the bottles from this company. It's easy to pour out what you want to use without waste.

To my knowledge there is no pump for this product. The best tip I can give you comes from my stylist, who says pour it in the cap and use only that much. I have rather long hair and this actually is enough for me to use; I didn't think that would be true. Good luck!

I've never seen any bigger sizes of this shampoo or any other Phyto products anywhere. Perhaps they are only available to professionals. However, even after searching extensively on the web for a larger size of any and all of my favorite Phyto products, I've yet to find a single one, even in France.

From the 12 ml - .40 fl. oz Sample Ingredients List:

I see lots of Coconut extracts, and Sodium. I'm not a fan of Rapeseed extracts, and Citric Acid in my Shampoos.

Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract (Mauve), Water/Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-4, Rapeseedamide. Cocamide Mipa, Glycol Cetereate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetetate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil (Jojoba). Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Potassium Undecylenoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein. Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Polyquaternium-10, Panthenol, Citric Acid. Fragrance/Parfum, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate. Methylchloroisothiazolinone. Methylisothiazolinone.

Then it says Botanical - Natural Origin? :-/
