Questions & Answers for ALTERNA Summer Hair Ocean Waves Texturizing Spray

Question
How does this work on straight, fine hair?
I have really straight and fine hair. I've used salt sprays before and they don't do anything. Does this weigh your hair down? Does it create texture or waves?

I also have fine straight hair. I didn't volumize my hair, though it did make it clump together like after swimming in the ocean. So if you want texture only, then go for it. If you want volume + texture, this isn't for you.

My hair is slightly wavy but it is very fine, too. Every other texture spray like this just weighs my hair down and makes it sticky and kind of oily or dirty looking. This one is really great - it's lighter on the stickiness but I still get nice waves when I scrunch. I'm not sure if the non sticky will help you out - but - are you blow drying at all? If your hair is that straight - you should either use a diffuser on your blow dryer (low) or just air dry and scrunch with your fingers until dry. good luck! :)

Question
How does this compare to Bumble and Bumble's
Because B&B is more so if this is comparable I would rather get this one. Plus this one said it has UVA/UVB protection.

This is so much better than the Bumble and Bumble product because it is lightweight and doesn't make hair crunchy. Plus, this smells fresh, fruity, and sweet.

I like the Bumble and Bumble one better, though we aren't allowed to compare products in our reviews. This one, though it smells nice, didn't give much volume to my fine limp hair.

I like this better than Bumble and Bumble! I tried both at my local store (one on each side) and even the sales rep admitted this looked better!

I've never been crazy about B&B products. Maybe that's just me, I just don't think the styling products work that well. I LOVE this product. It's definitely worth the money to give it a try - I think you'll end up with a new favorite.

It has a light scent. Doesn't seem to attract any bugs when I wear it, but not entirely sure bees would be a problem.

I use it with a short bob, hair is above my shoulder but below my ears. I think it would probably work well even with shorter hair. It's not greasy at all and doesn't leave a residue.

answer 3
I've used it on chin length hair and imagine it would work well on shorter hair. Just use sparingly to avoid the crunchies

I'm pretty sure it's limited cause people buy these 'beachy wave' products mostly in the summer. Think of it this way - if you don't buy it and support it, and it doesn't end up selling well, they may not see it as a successful product and my discontinue it completely. I'd say if you love it - somewhere around August or Sept, buy two or three to get you through most of the fall and winter. Hmm, good idea, think I'll do that too. :)

Question
Anybody tried braiding instead of just scrunching and has anyone tried a balm before using this to prevent frizzies?
I tried this product for the first time today I wondered if anyone tried using this then braiding their haIr? Are the waves more pronouced using it that way?
Also can you using a smoothing product before using this (to prevent frizzies) and not interfere with the wavy outcome? It won't make it 'to soft" will it?
