Question
Is this product safe to use while pregnant or nursing?
I'm 9 months pregnant and would like to know if this product is safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding. I have curly hair but it easily get straightened with keratin. I would love to try it but I'm scared it will be harmful to the baby.

I don't think you can compare the safeness of the salon treatment to this at home version.
The stylist told you it would be unethical to give a pregnant woman a Brazilian blowout because most of the salon keratin treatments are formulated with formaldehyde - it's used to enbalm the dead - it's not good for HUMANS, regardless if they're pregnant or not.
I tend to think this treatment would be safe for most people based on the ingredient listing, but every person is different and each person's pregnancy risk factors vary. Clearly anything you do when you're pregnant aside from taking Tylenol needs to be run by the doc - but my bet is this one's safe. Bring the ingredient list to your doctor.

I agree with the staff answer. I get salon keratin treatments and my stylist told me it would be unethical for her to give a pregnant or nursing mother a keratin treatment.
