This product is very similar to tinted foundation. I thought the coverage was very light compared to my normal foundation and I had to use concealer to hide any blemishes.

Yes - Boscia replaced the tinted moisturizer with the BB Cream. I loved the moisturizer and find the BB Cream to be similar...just a bit thicker, but same coverage really.

I called Boscia when they discontinued the moisturizer and they sent me a ton of samples until the BB cream came out...they may still do that....

Does it photograph well?
I've heard that BB creams can give your face a ghostly gray-white cast in pictures because of the flash bouncing off of it. Does this product do that?

I think a lot comes down to your actual skintone and how well this one-shade-fits-all shade goes with your skin. I personally didn't have any issues in the way it photographed and I use photography studio lights, which will without a doubt show off any white cast that may happen from a product. I've attached my before & after photo using this BB Cream.

I brougth home a sample and really like the way it looks on but it did give me a greyish look in some pictures when flash was used. I have an olive skin color with lots of yellow undertones so i would not suggest taking too many pictures that require flash.

I wore this to a wedding so I was definitely photographed all night. I set this with a mineral powder, apply blush and a liquid highlighter like benefit high beam. With all that product on top I had zero issues with flash effects.

I wouldn't say that it photographs super well, because I haven't tried to test it out so to say, but you definitely will not get the same grey cast as you would if you were to wear other BB creams such as Missha and skin79. The cream is actually an olive tone rather than a gray tone, and it doesn't really oxidize either.

This is not good for really fair skin gals like us. I am a NW20 and this was dark on me, like 2 or 3 shades darker than my natural skin color. You can try it, but I'm not sure about it. Mine was a sample and wore it for two days.

I am NC20-NC25 and it matches my skin really well. I received a sample and first swatched it on my hand and was disappointed because it appeared so dark, however I was amazed how well it blended in and matched afterward...it's odd and almost chameleon like, so I decided to apply it to my face to see what happened. Sure enough, it matched. I think your best bet would to maybe go to Sephora and try it out and ask for a sample to take home because I could see how this may not work for someone with a really fair complexion. I never trust colors when initially applied at the store because in natural light they look completely different...I've had a lot of bad experiences lol.

It's supposed to self-adjust to your skin. I'm a light-med and it fits me perfectly when I initially put it on. IDK if it oxidizes much since this is my first time trying it. I read a review on this and she was fair skinned and she said it went on okay but later oxidized to a darker color. HTH!!

No, please don't. This is advertise as a makeup product/ skincare. Although it states that it has a lot of benefits, but its never good to substitute a makeup product as part of daily skincare regimen. Buy a separate moisturizer with no color in it that's meant to be a moisturizer. I prefer using this when you go out, but it needs to be remove just as if it's foundation. Everyday.

I'd definitely recommend wearing a moisturizer, no matter what BB cream you use. The point of BB creams is not to cake it on your face, but to only use a little to even out your skin tone, really. But you can opt to use a moisturizer that is lighter than your normal moisturizer, because the BB cream does have some moisturizing benefits. It just won't be too effective in comparison to wearing moisturizer underneath.

Use with primer?
I am not sure how to use this with other products. Currently I cleanse my face at night, then apply my serum. In the am I use toner, then bb cream, then my foundation. It last all day, but if I want to add primer (love the Smashbox LuminIzing Primer) what order do I apply? BB cream then primer?

Using a primer is optional with this and it sure doesnt hurt - I sometimes use with a primer since the one I use has healthy skin stuff in it (like vit c and more sunscreen), and gives my skin a tad more moisture so that my bb cream goes on a lot smoother.

SO I guess it depends on your primer - since I know there are ones that are beneficial - that give oil control and/or are anti-aging.

I know a couple of you are really getting on my case about using anything else with the BB cream. The problem is that, while I love the BB cream, all of them are so very light in color. They don't make any for darker skintones, so unless I want to look washed-out all day, I have to use a foundation, or bronzer over the BB cream.

The point of a BB cream is that its a moisturizer, foundation, concealer, primer all in one. So it doesn't make sense to use a BB cream and put foundation over it. And if you even put a primer under the BB cream, then foundation over it, what's the point of the BB cream? Why are you using it?

I would treat the BB cream like a normal foundation and apply the primer first-- even though the formula is supposed to be better for your skin than other products, you want to prevent it from getting into your pores and causing breakouts or other problems.

I don't know if you've ever tried her products, but Mally Beauty has two great concealers that I love. I also love one from It Cosmetics. If just shopping at Sephora, I would recommend MUFE's Full Cover Concealer -- just be careful with shade selection, as it dries darker.

B.B. Cream is not a concealer but it somehow blends into your skin and does cover or blend or something so that the places I want to cover don't show. I like it better than any make-up I've ever used and to be honest, I've probably spent a fortune on make up over the years. I've tried several of the mineral make up powders, I like this much better. My other favorites have been Shiseido lifting Foundation, La Mer treatment fluid foundation, glo-minerals sheer tint base and the Clinic base for toning down red. I like B.B. Cream better than any of these.

I just posted a review on thsi because I bought both. I LOVE the new BB creams and so I tried two. The Clinque and the Boscia. They both have good SPF. The Boscia one seems bigger and comes with more product. However, I have always been a clinique girl and most of my face products are clinique. The Clinique comes in two colors and the #2 is a perfect match for me. I think that the Clinique one has more coverage and the Boscia one is a bit sheerer. Also, Clinique is a slighly better match for my skin tone but they both blend nicely and work! I honestly think that you cant go wrong with either. If I had to choose, I personally prefer the clinique because I just love clinique products and the color for my skin is a bit better. However, the Boscia one is a bigger bottle. They both work great and feel great. I love that they are an all in one product! I also tried the Garnier one- which is a waste of money. The color was not good- it had a shimmer to it or something and the smell drove me crazy...

I just converted from Clinique to Philosophy skincare and from Clinique to Smashbox cosmetics, but I added this in also. It is tinted, and it does have a slight shimmer to it, but I can tell that my skin loves this, as it drinks it up immediately after putting it on. This is the first product that I could actually use alone without anything else. By far my new favorite product. You can wear it alone or under foundation. It's PERFECT! I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I got a sample of both, the Clinique and Boscia BB creams. I also went back and forth between the two and had trouble deciding too. I used the #2 shade from the Clinique brand. I liked them both fairly equally. I was trying to go for the more natural looking product. The Clinique BB felt a bit thicker on my skin but it also gave better coverage. It looked and felt more matte on my skin (combination). The Boscia BB was more sheer but matched my skin shade better than the Clinique BB. The only thing I didn't like about the Boscia one is the glittery look. It's not as bad as people have described though. I plan on getting the Boscia BB since it sutis my skin better.
