So funny, I just posted a review and it sounds like I have very similar hair (long, asian hair although yours sounds a bit longer than mine). It doesn't say the temperature it gets up to (you can't adjust it) but this thing curls my hair like nothing else I have tried and the curl will hold for days (loosening up each day), whereas with other irons, it will hold for several hours only. It's super awesome, but I do prefer the 1" to the 3/4".

Hi there, the box says that it heats up to 182C/360F. I also have straight Asian hair and the Bombshells (I have both sizes) are the only curling iron that has ever worked for me. Keeps the curl all night and into the next day. It's cut my curling time down from an hour to (at my fastest) 20 minutes. I highly recommend this curler!

This iron heats up really really hot, it's very nice that way for thick and fine hair. Even pin straight hair hold this. The only problem I find is when it gets too hot! So for thick or course hair it seems to work pretty well.

Tighter curls, and they also will loosen up if you want looser curls. However, the 1 inch will only provide larger curls.

One it works on shorter hair easier, and it just gives your hair a different look just on the size of the curls alone.

I think the size you want depends on the length of your hair, and the style of curl you are after. Although my hair is a couple of inches past my collarbone, I got the 3/4" size because I do have layers. Also, I wanted a tighter curl. I have wavy to curly hair, and find this works well to touch up spots that aren't as curly as others. FYI, the curls do relax somewhat. I think if I had gotten the larger size, the curls would have been too loose for me.

Quick update to my previous comment. They offered to replace my iron despite it being outside the warranty period. Their customer service really is amazing. Love the product and the company.

I used this in the UK. Worked fine at one location (a home) but blew out at a hotel. Sadly I was a couple months outside my warranty and they don't do repairs so I'm out my favorite curling iron. Their customer service warned sometimes universal converters don't mesh, but I used the same converter in both locations so be careful.

I don't know why it can't be shipped, but I was able to purchase mine at a Sephora in Edmonton. It was out of stock for a really long time though so you may have to call around to see.
