It works best on dry hair that has been blow dried! You can also use it during the day to add volume to your hair.

I use it right at the end of blow-dryin my hair. I dry my hair upside at the end so I just spray this in at the roots before I finish up. If I use hairspray, I use it after spraying this in. Hope this helps!

Have to use on dry hair. It won't do anything on wet hair. Pick up a section of dry hair, spray the roots, let it dry (I use the blow dryer to speed this along). Then flip your hair back over and smooth.

I use this on dry hair after I have done most of the "styling." I also use it after a long day to give my hair some extra boost with out having to wash and blow dry my hair.

I haven't tried it before blow drying yet, but then again, after my hair is dried, it still won't work. I'll try blow drying it with it soon.

answer 10
use after blow dry... just lift your hair where you want it to be "puffed up" and spray directly on the root near the scalp. I dry it faster with about 10 seconds of a cold blow dryer... then let the hair fall and you have "lift"... It's wonderful

I have actually tried this both ways, but it seems to do more using it lifting my hair gently after drying and spraying lightly where i want a lift.

I don't see why not. It actually made my hair feel more greasy, so that might be okay for you. I have super fine hair and it did give some volume.

i loved it at the salon..unfortunately when i bought it it didn't work the same ;( i have curly hair, not very thick..so i like to straighten w/ the iron for less damage and don't get as much volume as i do with blow dryer. Usually i can go 3-4 days w/ fabulous hair but when using this i have to was the next day or 2 days..returning..not worth how much i have to wash and redo

Question
How is this product to come out of bottle?
When I spray it, I expect a mist or mousse, but it is very cold from the carbon dioxide I assume, and doesn't spray much. Is this how it is supposed to be? Not sure my can is working properly.

Mine sprays in a wide range and almost comes out the way an air freshener would. maybe return it (there might be a defect) and try a new bottle. You def have to hold the trigger down hard to get the full spray power.

Can I use this for straightening my hair with a flat iron? If so, do I add it before or after straightening it?

I would say that you should use it after straightening. it is meant to be sort of a pick-me-up for hair that's gone limp, so just straighten and then go. I wouldn't feel comfortable using it before straightening. Also be aware that this stuff goes ON ROOTS, not the actual hair shaft, and you shouldn't straighten your hair that close to your roots anyway, or you'll burn your scalp and fry your hair off.
