This product works on any hair type, but very coarse, dry, or thick hair types are best using it on top of a more emollient product.
I am half black and it works great on my hair. I would suggest buying the small trial size spray can and see how you like it. Then you havent spent too much if you dont get the results you wanted. I did that and just bought a full size can because it works so well for me. Best of luck!

Yes this product works on black hair. I've only used it on dry hair, but it still is amazing and left my hair soft and straight. I wear my hair natural and get regular presses at the salon and next time I go I'm going to ask them to use it before they straighten my hair because it really keeps it straight.
Actually, I'm caucasian and was talking to the SA at Sephora about how much I didn't like this product. The SA was African American and told me it's really not meant for my type of hair. I have a lot of hair that's medium. Hope that helps.
If your hair is chemically relaxed, then yes this product will work. In fact, it will also work on new growth BUT the new growth will need to be deep conditioned first.

Since there is no description of the texture of your hair (i.e. chemical relaxer, virgin/natural hair) hopefully this will help some. However, I am half Black/Hispanic with mixed textured hair use hair color with highlights but I use an "Air Brush Hair Dryer" therefore no dry frizz.
Please read the directions, very helpful. I make four parts, dry each section seperately & use Living Proof Straight Spray as directed, the product does suggest using a flat iron after drying this will give you awesome results. It takes time I wash my hair once a week and this product will keep it smelling great, shiny, fresh looking with lots of hair motion. Believe me this product will do everything discribed no lies here. I been using it for months!
Touch ups are real easy. Do sleep on a silk pillow case or pin your hair.
I dont see why not! My have tight curls & frizz and it really lays it down SMOOTH!
Yes, this product is transparent so far as I could tell and would work just fine on any hair color.
