Question
What kind of brush can I use for the shadow?
I know that the Buxom line has it's own brush that is specific for the Stay-There Eyeshadow. Can anyone recommend another Bare Escentuals eye brush that could be used instead? I have been using and loving all of B.E.'s products for years, so I already have just about every one of their eye brushes already. I have also already tried and love the Buxom mascara and lip polishes. However, if I buy this kit to try the Buxom eye shadow, I would like to try it without the added expense of a new eye brush. That way, if I liked the shadow and wanted to use it and try other colors, I could purchase the brush at that time. Any tips you have would be of great help...thanks!

I use the Bobbi Brown cream shadow brush, which is a bit smaller than the MAC or Buxom brush. I find I don't waste the cream shadow as much with a smaller brush-also, since you have to blend this stuff fairly quickly, the smaller brush face gives you just enough shadow to work in before it gets too dry to move.

I just use my finger for cream shadows, I think that's the easiest way to spread it evenly. Definitely try this eyeshadow cause it's amazing!

This stay-there shadow is very easily applied with your finger. It's not loose minerals like the usual BE shadow. It will adhere to your skin with no spillage. I use my ring finger and dab it on gently.

I asked an associate at the Bare Escentuals store and she recommended me to use the Full Tapered Shadow Brush. She also said that you could use the wet/dry brush being that the product is a moist shadow. Hope this helps!

The shadow doesn't really absolutely need a brush- if you're comfortable applying makeup with your finger, the Stay There shadows go on great with just a swipe or 2 of your finger. I just press my ring finger into the product and pat it on, rub lightly to blend, and repeat if I want darker color. (Just fyi, I also use Sephora's Professionel eye brushes with these and they work great!)

Do you own BE's wet/dry brush or even the fuse and foil brush? I think they would work with the Buxom colors. I also have a ton of BE brushes and am interesting in trying out the Buxom collection as well. Update us and let us know what if these bruses work for you...

I typically apply cream eyeshadows with my fingers, but any concealer brush will do for precision.

I use several different brushes I have with this product, in fact most are MAC brushes and a few are sephora brand. Most are regular soft brushes with small or meduim bristles. You can use any brush, but if you use a cream eye color brush the color may go on a little thicker.

I had the same issue I didn't know what brush to use. I used my brush that came with extreme glimmers kit. You can use just a sponge tip applicator too. To describe the brush something with short strong brissels. I don't think I spelled that right. But I hope it helps.

I love these eye products, and I've bought 4 of them since they've come out, one of which was included in this kit. I did buy the special brush that BE marketed with this, and I use that for specific coverage right on my lid. The lighter colors, however, that I want to use as a base (sheepdog works great for this) I actually just apply using the tip of my ring finger. Since it's so creamy, it blends really easily. Hope this helps!

I have a medium tone with olive undertones and the eyeshadow looks great on me, plus I'm a great believer in mixing all my eye shadows!! The lip gloss is a light sparkley sheer mauve or darker pink, and it looks great on me, as well. Again, the lip gloss is sheer, so you could put it over a color you already love and just see how it goes! I like to put on a lipstick color and then cover it with a sheer lip gloss, anyway, so I get a high shine.

A lot of people tell me I have an olive complexion. Whether I do or not, I'm not entirely sure, but if so, it looks awesome on an olive complexion! The eyeshadow and lipgloss are my favorite part of the set. I'd gladly buy another just for those two items alone. The eyeshadow is sheer and buildable, a beautiful soft purple, cross between lavender and lilac. The gloss is a cool icy, light pink. It complements the eyeshadow really well and is more flattering than it looks in the tube.

Call the store before you go to make sure they do have some (I have seen it in stores a while back, but not recently), and if they do, the price is the same. I have bought things in the store for the same sale price shown on Sephora online.

I don't have a store near me, but when I want something online and it's out of stock, I get real upset, and then I wait, and I've noticed that things I want, come back!! Check the store, but if you are patient, wait, and maybe it will come back!! If it's out of stock that means that a lot of people really wanted it and bought it, so Sephora might just make it available again???
