i go about it a little different than everyone else. i get my face a little damp and then i rub my face cleanser on my face with my hand. then i get the pink side of this just a tad damp and use that to spread out my cleanser and really work it into the skin. then i flip it over and use the bristles to kind of buff it out, focusing on my problem areas a bit, then i flip it back over the pink to deep clean my now exfoliated face. for me, i find if i use the white bristles first it just flings water and my face wash everywhere.

I use the bristle/brush side in the morning to exfoliate so my skincare and makeup go on smoothly. At night, I use the pink side for deep cleansing and to make sure I do not over-exfoliate my skin. If I am wearing makeup, I use a separate makeup remover w/o the brush since it is oil based then I use my regular daily cleanser after to cleanse my actual skin with the pink side of the brush. I am oily, clog prone and acne prone so I need to make sure I always cleanse my actual skin after removing makeup.

I use the brush side first, then the pink side, after that i use the brush side again just to make sure i get all the dead skin off. i find it easier to use in the shower that way i won't make a mess, and its more of a treat. I put the conditioner in my hair and wash my face.

What I do (I have a foam cleanser) is i wet my face, apply a pump of the cleanser on the white side first. Using circular motions, I wash my cheeks first then my forehead and chin. For the smaller areas such as around the nose, I use the pink side. I also use the pink side after I use the white side. I put about half a pump of cleanser on the pink side, and work my way around my face (cheeks, forehead, nose then chin). I then wash my brush (warm rinse, then cool rinse to keep the bristles nice) and I place the brush pink side down on the cap that it comes with, so the white bristles have a chance to air-dry. Then I rinse my face (warm, then cool).

Hope this helps. :)

For my skin, I've found that the pink side for everyday works wonders. ( I had glowing skin within a week! 2-3 times a week I'll brush with the white side first then pink for a deeper exfoliation. I put my facial cleanser on with my fingers on my face then in circular motions use the tool to scrub/massage my face. I love this thing ;)

Simply wet the brush and apply your cleanser. Cleanse face in a curcular motion then flip to the pink side to really clean pores. Rinse after each use.

The brush can be used to exfoliate your skin, the bristle part. Then the rubber end gives you a deep pore clean action thing going on. You can even use it for your body. And in the end your skin is glowing and more cleaner than ever :D

Wet your face with warm water, put the face wash on your face or on the wet brush, and brush with long bristles (white), then pink side.

I start by putting cleanser on my face and use the soft bristles to exfoliate, then with circular motions the pink side does the deep cleaning.
Rinse then moisturize.

All you do is pick a face cleanser, any one you choose will work and you have the freedom to use what works with your skin. Then wet your face and add a little cleanser to the product. Wet the brush but don't drench it and apply on your skin in circles; it will soon make the cleanser come to a lather. Use all over your face and neck, at the end keep the cleanser on your face and use the pink side of the brush all over for an extra boost of clean! Hope I answered all your questions about the brush! Good luck and stay fabulous!

I apply my face wash on. Rub it on as I normally would. Then I take the brush and exfoliate. I concentrate on my problem areas a bit more. I rinse and use the brush without my cleanser. Then I use the rubber part and exfoliate. I concentrate on the areas with deep pores, black heads, and oily spots.

Ps. I use small circular direction and try to go upwards.

Follow up with a moisturizer afterwards.

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't use bristles on my face--afraid of poking my eye. And the flat pink pore-pudger won't fit into those hard to spots around the nose. But I'm *very* happy with this as a bath brush--it scrubs and exfoliates gently and reaches more easily than a washcloth.

Question
Replaceable Brush Heads?
Does this brush come with replacement brush heads like the Clarisonic? I didn't see any mention of it in the description or reviews, and wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to buy another $18 brush when they wore out. Even then, would still be much cheaper than Clarisonic!

They are permanent heads. Do not come out. You would need to purchase a new one. But with proper care, it will last a long time.

Question
How to clean and long lasting?
Hey guys I got this for my birthday a while ago. I was wondering how you're suppose to clean it and how often.

Also, are you suppose to replace it after a couple of months?

Thank you!

I'm not entirely sure how you're *supposed to* clean and whatnot, but after I wash my face, I rinse out with very hot water and then dry it most of the way with a face cloth. I let it dry completely by leaving it on the side of the sink, resting the pink part on the plastic cover it comes with. That keeps it clean and smelling fresh for me!

I use this brush only night, mainly to make sure I get my makeup off. In the morning I prefer to give my skin a gentle cleaning. But I suggest the more combination/oily skin you have, with larger pores the more often you would use this tool. My personal opinion would be to replace this every 6 months, I think that's how long a Clarisonic brush head lasts. If you use it everyday morning and night you might want to replace it every 3 months depending on how much make up you where (replacing it more often if you where a heavy foundation) and how oily your skin is.
To use:
Do first an all over face scrub with the brush side with your cleanser, then focus on your larger pore areas with the pink silicone side. Rinse and follow with moisturizer :)

Question
Is this safe enough to use every day?
I'm worried that if I use this every day, I would "over-exfoliate" and would develop pre-mature wrinkles...anyone?

I don't think you would have a problem using this brush every day. Just don't put muscle into it! gently use it in circular motions. I wouldn't use it more than once a day though. Make sure you moisturize and avoid the sensitive skin of the eye area.

Keeping your skin clean won't cause premature aging. Not taking care of your skin by not cleaning it properly and moisturizing while using sunscreen daily will age it.

I've been using it daily and it seems to be no problem. Just don't get carried away during each use. Listen to what your skin is telling you while you use it. Pay close attention to the sensitivity to know when to move to another surface.

My brush began to smell for different reasons, but this may help. I ended up replacing the brush, but you could try kind of drying the brush with a washcloth before putting it away. That has helped me!

If you wash it out thoroughly after eacch use and let it air dry, it never smells.

Your brush is probably smelling due to bacteria. After washing your face you should let it air dry. Once a week I even let my brushes dry in the sun just like my make up brushes after washing them.

You can wash your brush in a mix of tea trea oil and water. Tea tree oil is an antiseptic and it is great for skin care as well. Tea tree oil will kill the smell and kill bacteria. Afterwards let it dry in the sun.

You can purchase tea tree oil from your local health food store.

Hope this helps :)

Clean it often with a good makeup brush cleaner. Also if the brush bristles get really bad let them sit in diluted bleach water for a while. (Do Not put the whole brush in bleach.)

No! These bristles are much more stiff. It exfoliates as well as cleanses. I love it, but someone with sensitive skin may find it to be too rough.
