Question
Does this really remove blackheads?

answer 1
In my experience, areas where I've had fewer blackheads in general seem to be consistently free of them after using this brush. Blackheads in stubborn areas (I'm talking to you, nose and chin!) have NOT been removed by any means. I do think my pores are noticeably refined, though, which means blackheads are much less noticeable (and sometimes easier to extract, though not always.)

It depends. Not as good as salicylic acid skin care does. Start with the delicate brush head. Not clean enough after a few months, move to the sensitive. Not clean enough after a few months, move to the normal. Not clean enough after a few months, move to the deep. If at any point you develop irritation or sensitivities, go back down to your previous brush head. You can always use the harsher one for an occasional thorough cleaning. Use the gentlest brush head that still leaves you feeling clean. This new brush head is great for oily skin types.

I was hoping for the same result! I have pesky black heads on my nose that have been there for years. I've used the brush for about two weeks now (twice a day) and I don't see much of a difference unfortunately.

I don't find that it removes blackheads, however it does make it easier for them to come to the surface for extraction. I haven't seen many blackheads since I've started using it and I used to have many on my cheeks and nose.

It doesn't remove the blackheads, but over time, will slough them by softening the skin. This is the most amazing brush I have ever used. You will see and feel the difference after using a few days.

How can you tell it is a deeper cleaning level?
Has anybody done a good comparison of the normal and this? Does it help loosen the blackheads?

Also, does will this be available at Sephora in the 2-pack box?

Yes it does help with black heads. If you are using the normal and not feeling clean enouh, I would try this new one. If you are not using the normal yet, do not just jump to this one. Start with delicate, after a few months if not clean enough move up to sensitive, after a few months not clean enough, move up to normal, after a few months not clean enough move up to the deep. get the next brush head up for occasional, weekly, thorough cleaning. Try something with salicylic acid for blackheads. This one is really good for oily skin.

I have oily skin and I think that this brush makes me less oily and makes my pores look smaller as well. If you're using this and finding that you still feel extra oily..maybe you might try a different cleanser. My aunt was super oily, where she needed to wash her face several times a day and she changed her cleanser and now she only has to wash 2X daily.

I have oily skin and really like this brush, but I wouldn't use it 3-4 times a day though! I only use it once every approx. 2 days and maybe once a day if my skin starts acting up. The normal brush head I've heard is used well in conjunction with this. Good luck!

If your skin is not too sensitive, you should definitely try this one cause it cleanses much deeper and therefore takes off more oil than the other brushes.

Dry skin?
Just wondering if I can use this for my dry skin. I have large pores on my nose, and both dry flaky skin on my nose, and oil. It's awful. I don't breakout anywhere else, and have dry cheeks.

It depends. How old are you? How thick is your skin? If you are older with thinner skin, no I would not. Also what brush head are you using? Do you have any skin conditions? Acne, rosacia? Start with the delicate brush head. Use it for two to three months as your skin adjusts. Not feeling clean enough? move up to the sensitive brush head. Use it for two to three months as your skin adjusts. Still not clean enough? Switch to the normal brush head. Use it for a few months as your skin adjusts. Still not clean enough? Try the deep. If at any point you develop a sensitivity, go back to the previous brush head. Use the gentlest brush head that leaves you feeling clean. You can always buy the brush head up for occasional use, once a week for a thorough cleaning. Use the gentlest you can get away with.

i actually think this product may not be cleaning your skin as well as the sensitive brush head, so your pores look bigger. i had the exact same problem. when i switched back to the sensitive brush head, i found that it did a better job of exfoliating and my pores looked smaller the next morning. i will still keep this deep pore brush since i already have it but will probably just use it for mornings when my pores are less clogged.

First. I would not go from the sensitive to the deep. I would go in this order. Start with delicate. Move up to sensitive. Move up t normal. Move up to deep. I would not ahead. If you are using the sensitive and finding you are not getting as good of a clean as you want, then try the normal for a few months. Still not clean enough, try the deep. I think of this brush head as being great for oily skin. Also great for occasional use for normal skin. Not sure I would use it with sensitive or delicate skin. Think I would just use the normal brush head on occasion. If you are thin skin, aging skin, yes I think it is possible this could make your pores appear larger. However, nothing actually shrinks or enlarges your pores, they just appear smaller or bigger because they are either cleaned out or clogged. I should not say nothing changes pore size because that is not true, but very very few products or procedures actually change pore size.

No, not at all. Try a cleanser that minimizes pores with your clarisonic cleaner and the brush head. I had large pores and nothing worked I have tried all the different brush heads and this is the best!

Question
Brush Head Design vs. Reg. Brush Design
I have made the huge step in purchasing the Clarisonic Pro from Sephora, and am interested in the Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head (Not available at my Sephora) But review suggest the brush is the same as the regular brush head.

Besides the description vaguely mentioning that it's "designed to..." What actually makes it different from the regular brush head? I'm happy with the normal one, but should there be something great about this, i'll gladly make the $25 purchase...

The normal brush head is fairly soft. I would say it is best for normal skin between the ages of 10 and 50. After 50, you do need to be a bit more careful with your skin as it is usually thinner. I would say if you still have thickish skin between 50-60, you can still get away with the normal brush head. The deep cleaning brush head is as it sounds. Made more for oilier skin types. Also for occasional use for those with normal skin, to get really clean. I just would not use it on sensitive skin, or worse even delicate skin.

i think any clarisonic brush head helps with acne because it helps clean out your pores. depending on your skin type though, this may not be exfoliating enough for you and so other brush heads may help clear your skin faster. i would recommend starting with the sensitive brush head first and then only moving to this if the sensitive brush is too harsh.
