answer 1
These are the most convenient/fast and gentle waxing product I've used. I use after-wax oil SPARINGLY, to really remove the left-over, stickiness of wax (better than soap/water or witchhazel or alc.). It seems to "calm" skin of my upper lip, too.Yes, antibiotic cream (overthecounter) also works. I guess it's used a lot after waxing at salons because you will NOT have clean skin when walking into salon, probably won't wash right after waxing, either.
Because my aging skin is more delicate/stretches with waxing, my preference is "threading" by my Indian beautician (she is amazingly good at removing ALL the hairs, lasts about 4 -6 wks, but must allow hair to grow back in w/o tweezing).
I find this wax wks well if my skin is NOT oily, but also NOT just-washed. Washing makes the hair stick LESS to the wax, maybe bcs its texture is stripped of whatever "barbs" stay stuck to the wax? Also, pre-wax wash w/warm water melts wax too much when applied to face, so it cannot "hold" onto the hair. Wait ~45+ mins after washing face or work out/sweating, and/or apply ICECUBE to moustache area, to cool down the skin. Otherwise, no wax will work. I also have to be very attentive to DIRECTION of hair growth. Is harder to pull strip from my non-dominant Left Hand side, but that is especially important for the 1st&2nd "yank" on the strip (later pulls on remaining hairs probably picks up interspersed hairs that are NOT growing in same direction as the 1st ones).

I think it probably is just from the oil. The same thing happened to me, but I have trouble with frequent breakouts too. I am not sure what is in the oil but I figured that (for me) it was just because the oil is not meant for people that have problems with breakouts.

I don't use the oil either, instead I wipe with witch hazel on a cotton pad.

I usually break out on my lip after ANY wax treatment, so I doubt it's just from this product. After I use it and the oil I am sure to wash my face (I use Proactiv), then I put on the Proactiv acne lotion and now I almost NEVER break out from it.

It is definitely from the oil! The after care of most wax products break me out. The remnants of this wax can actually be taken off with your face cleanser, it just might take a little extra scrubbing. OR you can be sure to cleanse and tone your skin after you use the oil, don't let it linger on your skin.

It's the oil. I work with waxing specialists and the oil causes beakouts often. Usually we just tell clients to use witch hazel after service, then the following morning too!

When I wax, either on my upper lip or brow wax I always break out, and is very normal that this happens. I read on a magazine that if you break out, right after waxing put a little bit of antibiotic cream or gel, over night, and its gone.... IT HAS WORKED LIKE A CHARM ever since!!!! =D

Hello. I ALWAYS break out after waxing my upper lip, and it drives me crazy. But with this product, I did not break out at all. Perhaps it has something to do with the formulation of either the wax or the oil that your skin is sensitive or allergic to.
